So very sad to read this about gorgeous Darcy. Run free sweetheart! :(( xx

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE POEM

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Sadly I have just collected Darcy's body from the Highways agency depot where he has been since the morning he went missing after being hit by a vehicle on the M3. Due to the incompetence of the agency they faild to find his chip which clearly shows when a decent scanner is used. Thankyou to all the people who have been looking for him.

We went down from the car park yesterday morning and looked and listened, we couldn't get into the field from there unfortunately, but had a good look leading down. Will keep trying.

I took Jess over there today, spent two hours walking and looking, no news - am so sorry. Have local businesses had posters for noticeboards like the Fisheries and the school? Local residents had a flier? We will go back again, stay strong, never give up hope x

We have been told a dog has been heard barking in the area between the track up to the main gate where you park the cars and the two fields on the Thorpe Road. It is a big area and very overgrown but there is a path down from the car park. We have searched the lower section boundary with the fields but any help with that whole area would be much appreciated.
June
Is there any particular area that you would like us to concentrate on? We had another look round on Sunday and keep looking everytime we are out and about.
Gina
I have been looking around the area and up and down the roads as far as egham and up and around holloway hill, there are lots of fields round and about so have been walking my dogs there too.
Laraloo, never give up hope, the people on here are wonderful and they will all work hard for you xx

So hope Darcy is home safe and sound very soon. Will go over and do a few dog walks around St Annes Hill this weekend.

I just want to thank everyone who has been searching for Darcy. We so appreciate all that has been done. Sadly the little lad has still not been found but we must not give up hope.
Janet
Hi was up at St Annes Hill this afternoon with four dogs - walked down mainly around the edge by M25 and the Well area - no sightings of Darcy. On a plus note normally I get there and nobody else is there, but today lots of dogs walkers out and about so if Darcy is still in the local area hopefully there will be some sightings soon fingers crossed.
June
Have just got back from St. Ann's Hill but unfortunately no sightings of Darcy. I took one of my dogs with me in the hope that it would encourage Darcy to show himself. We went down through the gap a little way down St. Ann's Hill road, this took us down to near the Thorpe Road and back up to the bridal path. We followed along by the motorway and then made our way back up along the side of the field belonging to the Company of Animals. We made our way back up to the top. There was another lady with her little girl and dog that had also been looking for him. I am sorry not to bring you better news. Will keep looking. x

Darcy is neutered and the dog found tied up in Kettering is an entire male. So sadly not the same dog :( But I hope the found one gets reunited with its owners.

So worried for Darcy, hope he is found safe very soon x

Have you tried Battersea at Old Windsor? Darcy might well return to the spot where he last saw you, so make sure to leave an item of clothing with your scent on it there, and keep checking back there. Get up LOADS of posters too. Hope he's home soon (he could be my Barney's double) xx
