- Hi Vanessa, I will put up some more posters in Pudsey for you asap, I also ride through Ravenscliffe and Calverley woods often on my horse so I will defo keep my eyes peeled, a facebook campaign is a great idea as Scuba Ros said to make your dog too hot to handle, please don't give up and hope Marley will be found soon xx
- 2013-05-10 10:53 Scuba Ros
- Don't give up hope, Vanessa, a lot of dogs are reunited, you need to keep postive. Are there posters up? A poster campaign is vital, on lamposts, concentrated more around your area but spread over a wider area as well. When I lost my dog I got her back because of my posters, I would not have got her back otherwise. There was one that was stolen recently from someone's garden, it was on this doglost site, a miniature Schnauzer. They got the dog back because they had such a massive campaign, posters and facebook, and a facebook page with 1000 members. They made the dog too famous to keep and he was handed in anonymously to a vet. Have you put Marley on fb? I'll put him on and ask my friends to share. And about the white van, I have heard these rumours applied to other parts of the UK as well. Seems a bit of a coincidence that dog thieves everywhere drive white vans???? make them a bit conspicuous............also I think the dog warden drives a white van, so yes, there would be a white van picking up stray dogs.. I'll get some posters in local vets etc, as I said. And I'll try and find my way into Ravenscliffe woods and have a general look around. Get postering, keep looking, remember he's an unneutered male with mating instincts and keep postive. Fingers and paws crossed x

- hi scuba ros marley is not neutered and a male dog, ravenscliffe woods is big it starts at carvley and finishes fagley i think, ive so far just walked round where i live and asked every one most people wher ei live know what marley look like, but starting to think he is no longer in west yorkshire has ive heard quite a few roumers that a white van has been going round picking them up. every day i am on internet selling pages lookin for him so far no luck and really upset now, only think keeping me going is if hes been sold then the new owners are good to him and give him a good loving home.

- Sorry to hear Marley is missing. Just a thought, has he been neutered? and do you know the dog he was with when he escaped? Could it have been a bitch on heat? They can stay away for quite a while when the're following their instincts!! I live in Shipley and I can help look. I'll take my dogs to Ravenscliffe woods if you can tell me where they are! 18 years I've lived here and I've never heard of them! I'll also look round your area if you tell me whereabouts you are. I can also help with postering. In this area I usually do Petvax, Vets4pets, Shipley and Avenue vets, Eccleshill and Shipley swimming baths and Morrison's in addition to your local lampost campaign. I can do these for you if not already done. Please let me know. Fingers and paws crossed that Marley is found soon.

- I received an email for Marley saying he may be in my area, which was confusing as I'm in N.Wales. But looking like it was a mistake and should have been LS18, not LL18! Hoping he's found soon x

- Sorry to see that MARLEY is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (51890)
