Like I did Phebe, while you were tracking I was scoffing an ice cream with the help of Tiga and had we not then got news of a possible sighting I was going to go and check the bed. I would loved to have seen her in her bed!

Pepper is one fit pup! We went to take over a shift of tracking late morning, got a nice fresh scent and a trail which agreed with Tiga's findings, then continued round a massive loop which took in part of Welbeck estate (and a bit of the main road - eek!) before looping back into Clumber. But Pepper was way ahead of us and on her way back to the visitor centre and her basket. We might as well have lounged around the visitor centre and scoffed ice cream instead of tracking about 5 miles LOL. But Wispa enjoyed the work and the exercise.

That sounds like one awesome tracking job! How very clever Pepper was to find his way back to his bed! Sounds like a 'Beagles Rule' day!

Tiga and I tracked with the owners last night from 10 until 2 this morning and then after a very short sleep we tracked again from 4.30. Tiga tracked some small loops around but always coming back to the area Pepper went missing. While following up a possible sighting this afternoon further away, Pepper was seen and caught lying in her bed which we left at the point she went missing from! What a clever little puppy.

Thank you for all of your lovely comments, I will be sure to pass them on to Pepper's owner (my cousin). They are all still out looking and will keep you updated on any news.
Pepper is fine with other dogs, she has been playing with other family dogs (labradors) since she was tiny.
Any help in the area would be greatly appreciated. I have contacted Clumber Park so hopefully the correct people have been informed. I have also contacted a few of the hotels and campsites around the area so hopefully they will be on the look out.

Fingers crossed they can find her. Thanks again x

I'm in Retford, 10 mins from Clumber. We just drove along Limetree Avenue, no sign, Shared on Facebook, I'll print some posters tomorrow for Hallcroft pet shop, Retford hospital and the hospice. Let me know if I can do anything else. Good luck x

I live about 30 mins away from Clumber Park. I'll go there tomorrow morning to have a look for Pepper. Does anyone know whether she's okay with other dogs as would have to take my beagle with me. Are posters up around the area already?

I've got everything crossed for you that Pepper is found safe and well very soon. Jenny and Tiga make a great team - I can speak from recent experience, having lost our beagle for a day 2 weeks ago: you're in good hands there.

Hi Phoebe we have just seen this alert about little Pepper. Do you know if the people at visitor services in Clumber Park have been contacted. The head ranger is a chap called Geoff and he is fantastic at coordinating everyone. I think the guy who runs visitor relations is called Trevor and should be contacted. It would be worth contacting Kate as she did all the liaising for us when we lost Milo. We will stay in touch but are unable to get out there until Saturday. Make sure the local vets have been notified and the rescue centres. It may be worth getting the owners to contact the Worksop Guardian newspaper. We will keep checking in and if we can get out there sooner I promise we will. Good luck to the owners, are hearts are with them x

JB & Tiga are on their way to track. I have been out all day and didn't know about this, but am more than happy to leave it to JB and Tiga as they can cover more ground and track by night. I will probably meet up with them tomorrow as it's right in my doorstep, and if we can help out we will do so. Just trying to find the number for Milo's people, but I expect they will get email alerts.

Yes they do...But as I dont know which part of Clumber park have added a few more postcodes...DN22 and NG20,22.

Ok - I have now spoken to the owner and got the full story. Pepper has gone missing in Clumber Park by the cycle hire shop near the visitor centre. I have given her instructions of what to do which she is now going to do. I don't know if the email alerts cover this area.

I have rung the number above three times now offering to go with Tiga to track but the number above is not the owners but that of a relatives. I am told the owners will ring back after work. We have a number of beagle uk helpers waiting to offer help but we need contact with the owners for more information. I am led to believe the garden is an open building site while a property is being renovated and the owners are living on site in temporary accommodation. My fear is the pup has been inquisitive and is stuck somewhere.
