- I have had a reply to my email, here is some more information:
I was walking her yesterday morning in company with three of my other dogs, on private land adjacent to Blagdon Lane, near Butcombe, North Somerset. There is a public footpath crossing the land. All the dogs were free running. They are all highly trained to whistle and voice, and do not stray.
We moved on to another piece of land and I noticed she was missing about 5 minutes after that. My last firm sighting of her was near the public footpath. This would have been about 8.30 am on 11/05/13. I immediately started searching and calling. If able to come, Fudge would most certainly have done so.
I put my other dogs back in their kennels. And began searching again. I have tried to inform the dog warden, but apparently they are not available at weekends. I have also left a message with the local beat constable.
I have since searched the area and the wider area several times, both on my own and with my dogs. I have also checked all the badger holes and wire fences in the area in case Fudge has become trapped. I have also listened carefully for any howling. I have asked local homeowners if they have seen anything, but there are not that many houses in the area. The area is a well-known beauty spot next to Blagdon Lake and attracts fishermen and walkers.
I do hope that Fudge can be found safe and well very soon. - 2013-05-12 09:57 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
