So pleased to see you got her back safe and sound.

So lovely to read the updates and the good news. As someone who followed Kip's story last year and who also has friends with dogs on holiday in the area at the moment, reading a lot of the same place names brought Kip's story right back, as I'm sure it did for many others. Which made it all the more wonderful that it was Sylvia who 'found' her - and of course a huge well done to the man who took her in and was taking her to the vets.

I as the breeder of the amazing springadors, can't thank you guys enough. I felt like I'd lost one of my babies. Like shoefairy I have never heard of dog lost, now iv joined up and will help in anyway I can. Massive thank you to the dog lost team, Greg my coast guard friend and his team, all the helpers and followers and especially jim Martin, a wonderful man. X
Shoefairy
Team Kip Jim Martin Greg the Coastguard MiniGirl & Tracy that put me intouch with Lou & all the other wonderful Doglost people & other helpers and sharers I can't thank you enough for your gallant efforts in reuniting Freya with Nicole. My dog HollyB is Freya's sister and even though we are 130 miles away I am sure she knew that something was wrong last night she was totally subdued. Well you have yourself another volunteer here. I have never had any connection with doglost before but I cannot tell you how overwhelming it is to see what you wonderful people do. Thank you x

So emotional I can't stop crying. So so pleased Freya has been found and is safe home. I also asked Kip to show Freya a searcher to go to and he chose to send Sylvia to find her. So so happy :) welcome home little lady x

Such good news. Kip must have been watching over Freya to get her over the road safely and an angel guiding Sylvia xx
mjky73
Thank you Syliva for the update, after all that happened last year I have read it with tears streaming. I tried reading it out to mum and dad but couldn't finish the last line. Sweet dear Kip lead you to her I am sure. Thank you so much to Jim Martin a very kind and good person. He kept her safe and warm. We went put to look for Freya thus morning but there was only going to be one person destined to find her and that was you Syliva.

That goodness for kind people, Kip, hot chocolate, the weird route into Amble and Don' s Birthday. Happy Birthday Don :-), See you soon Syliva, Kate Younger xxx

Thank you Sylvia, lovely update. Freya done well to get across that busy road, phew. What a kind, wonderful man Jim Martin is, he done what everyone should do when they find a stray/wandering dog without its owner in sight. Well done Sylvia and Don (Happy Birthday) Brilliant! Welcome home Freya, stay safe little girl xx
Sylvia
A great effort from Team Kip xxx
I am sure that Nicole will update soon to put Freya in the Blue, but she is definitely back safe with her mum.
After a few hours searching the beach and dunes from Hadston to Hauxley, we made our way back to the car and decided to go into Amble for a hot chocolate at Spurelli's - it is Don's birthday, after all. I went into Amble a bit of a strange way and thanks to a set of coincidences turned into Bede Street - to see a man leaning on the wall with a dog on a lead that looked like Freya. Screeched to a halt and .............. it was Freya!!!!!!
He found her at 6 o'clock last night in East Chevington (on the other side of the A1068!). She was soaked and he dried and fed her and was waiting for the vet's to open to have her scanned.
What a kind gentleman - Jim Martin, we salute you, sir. I nabbed her and had the huge pleasure of taking her back to Druridge and handing her back to Nicole.
Thanks for taking me there, Kip, you took a piece of my heart but you still fill that part you left behind. <3
Stay safe, Freya xxx

Yeh good idea the more people who are aware the better!!
mjky73
Wonder if it's any good starting to check the farms around the area and speaking to farmers. Give her description out. Don't want her getting hurt if farmer thinks she's worrying sheep.
Viv
Out for about an hour with one of the team just covered the back of the new houses off from the country park case Freya has managed to cross the busy road by chance no sightings will continue to keep a look out when out & about
Reuben226
Ive just got back, been out an hour and a half. Covered a lot of wooded area north of lake but no joy :-(
Nicola lab mum

BBKM

Im heading over there late morning, anyone tried the wooded areas on the top side of the lake? Plenty of cover up there
bigdavesdad
Nikki and I along with Kate and the dogs have been along the dunes towards the Cresswell end from the country park and back long the beach.Tide is on the way out now so if Freya gets onto the beach she'll be spotted easier.Big Dave , Wendy , Beverly and Carum were all in amongst the dunes looking for rabbits but no signs. We had a quick look up by the lake too.Quite a few out looking and everyone seems to be aware-lets keep trying
mjky73
Nikki, Ian and I have checked beach and dunes around country park. Also up to the cafe. I am about to leave after driving around the main car park again. Spoke to a lady called Rebecca who was also looking, told everyone she came across as well. Not luck unfortunately. Really hope she found soon.

Just back from walking along lake side up to entrance and back to dunes following main road. Also checked along road side from near Chevington nature reserve to Scaurrs car park and nothing I'm afraid. Another gentleman checked nature reserve and was doing the right side of the lake and through the underpass (under main road) and thru to red row. Nikki was still on beach looking when I left 20 mins ago Got everything crossed that someone sees Freya xx
HJCB
We walked from hadston scaurs car park to the lake, around the lake and back along the dunes at 6 this morning, no sign unfortunately. I hope she is found safe today.
Shoefairy
Apparently Freya is afraid of water and would avoid it. I'm not familiar with this area but are there lots of places to hide. Also is there any CCTV up there around car parks etc
Viv
My hubby was out for over 2 hrs last night saw nothing he searched in the lake and the beach area plus down old drift road spoke to others out they were heading towards the widdrington side of beach .... hope she us reunited today
Shoefairy
No sign yet !! :-(
