So pleased that the lovely Ruby is safely home. Just goes to show that is not safe to leave dogs outside shops or in the care of strangers as they are far to precious for that xxx

Thank you dinkydoodle. I have just been reading the comments on one of her photo's.

Seems she was with the man that had taken her and a woman with him handed her over saying they had found her.

There is a big following with lots of help for this girl on local fb group, many people are keeping a look out in the area, myself included. It won't be long as we are very determined to get Ruby home.

On behalf of the owner I have just spoken with the News Desk at the Bristol Post who were interested to hear of the search for Ruby. Have e-mailed the Doglost poster links. The Editor will pass to a reporter to hopefully make contact with owner for a story....fingers crossed. Thank You Bristol Post.

RUBY is a 5mth old puppy last seen wearing her pink collar and lead. RUBY has been STOLEN. The owners have reported to A & S Police and have a crime number.
Saturday 11 May owners left Ruby in care of their father whilst out for the day.
The father took Ruby for a walk. Whilst on East Street, Bedminster, Bristol, BS3 at 4.15pm that afternoon he popped into Poundland.
A male described as white, approx 30yrs, with bald/receding hair offered to look after Ruby whilst the father shopped. When he came out Ruby and the male were gone.
Owners have circulated homemade posters, Ruby well circulated in the area via FB.
At 8.40am this morning there was a POSITIVE SIGHTING of Ruby still wearing her pink collar and lead in Victoria Park off St Johns Lane, BS3 seen in company of a different male described as a ‘drunk’.
The owners were there within 10 mins but no sign of Ruby. They did however bump into their local PCSO that they know who is now supporting them with their search.
Owners have friends helping, they believe Ruby still in the Windmill Hill area. They are doing all they can to help find her. Have encouraged them to get the support of their daily newspaper I believe the Bristol Post? Have asked if enquiries made re CCTV? As they are so busy I will e-mail what advice I can. Will pass on Sammie’s advice sheets and explain DL. From our chat it appears a lot of conversation is going on FB local to area.
I have shared Wilts/Somerset but do not know the Bristol area.
I do hope Ruby is home soon.

I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you. Will be good to see a photo (albeit I can't imagine anyone not knowing what a dalmatian looks like). Hope she's home soon.
