No news at all I'm afraid, everything we seem to have hit a brick wall. Shes been in 3 papers this week, 2 of which cover a much wider range of areas and we have had no reponse at all. I'm at a loss at the moment as to what to do next. sue xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sent heaps of new poster to more vets, kennels, rescue centres today. I've also put more notices in local papers outside our area which are going to be placed as near to the front page as possible so they will stand out, these will be out next . Hopefully it may bring some more new leads. I'll keep you posted. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry Sue but at least you can rule that one out - it is amazing how many similar dogs appear out of the wood work when one goes missing that you never noticed before. It's also very confusing and frustrating. I've got my fingers crossed that you find her safely very soon Rxxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Bad new I'm afraid, we spent the weekend putting leaflets through peoples houses and knocking on doors. We eventually had a call telling us where the dog was, we have just come back from there, unfortunately its not Ellie. It is a cream sharpei but it a male. When we knocked on the door the dog barked and it was exactly the same bark as Ellie, we thought we had found her, we're really disappointed. This is the third cream sharpei we have found in our area, and I thought they were rare. We have had a call from a physic who saw Ellie on the Sharpei rescue site to say that she had a feeling that Ellie was in a rescue centre, around 10 miles outside our area, so I'll be following that up tomorrow, as well. I will contact all the schools, thanks for that advice, and thank you all again for all your support. sue xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Quick update for you - my mum and dad went to Tivolli Park the other day and showed Ellie's photo to some people who are sure that they have seen her at this park with a lad of about 15 years. So tomorrow me and my husband Gary are going to the park next to the estate and we are going to knock on every single door. Can't do it today as Gary is at work and I don't want to have to take my son who is only a few months under 5 years old with me. You never know who is going to answer the door. I'm hoping that I will have good news to tell you all soon. Wish us luck. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Had another sighting today near Tivollie Park, Hartsdown, Nr Margate. A park attendant saw a dog very much looking like Ellie, this is not far from our home. So Gary is spending alot of time driving around and sitting about in the car. He'll be going back again tomorrow. Fingers crossed, you never know. I really really hope its her. Ellies mum
We had a possible sighting of Ellie few days ago, a couple saw a dog who looked like Ellie wearing a chain and she was out alone. They tried to get the dog to come to them but she got scared and ran away, they are still keeping a look out for her. We've been back to the area several times but with no luck. The problem is by the time we actually get there from when they call us, if it is Ellie, she could have gone anywhere. I'm amazed at the amount of people who are keeping a look out for Ellie, so many people care, I can't begin to say how much we appreciate all the support from all of you, all I can say is thank you very very much. Hopefully I'll have some good news to tell you all soon. Sue xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Has anyone checked the council for road accidents as it seems a while since anyone has had a sighting , hopefully this is not the case but im not sure the council bothers to tell anyone but if anything recent occured they may still remember, they should have it logged or may not of even recognised the breed Another bet is the kavishi site who is infact hosting any doglost shar pei on her home page, suzi has taken in and rescued many sharpei , brought into her home until the right owner comes along, suzi has contacts with all of the rescue kennels within the uk, hoping for a happy ending. You must be at your wits end! Try giving Paul Saxon a call, he runs the Shar-Pei club GB I do not have his number on me, You can get it from the Kennel Club, he's fab and would be able to help. I hope you get her back very soon. If you can't get Pauls number I will bring it tomorrow for you. xxx ( he lives up North but has so many contacts across the UK )Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
