hes got it raised in the found picture susan, ive seen other pics of him with a police van & police man trying to catch him. the headline was that of a pitbull type dog left roaming as no one wants it. it upset me to think that people are so negative towards dogs especially staff bull types, & i didnt believe this boy was a bad boy straying around. as it turns out hes lost trying to find his dad since may 2013, and im going to help him all i can x
Susan
The front left paw seems to be different to me if you look closely between the two.x

*****UPDATE***** STOP postering in Becontree! We have a big lead and now do not want to spook persons concerned. Please keep an eye out though and take owner's number down and if you see Jack - and you may - call owner or DogLost. Do NOT approach. Holly - you will know why by now. Helper Caroline is on the case and I must say, she is absolutely amazing! You go girl! I am now on tenterhooks.......
ClaireC
Everything crossed for a happy reunion with rightful owner. Good luck xx
Holly
Will try and get down to Becontree with posters. The whole family miss jack, really hope he makes it home:)

Got a message from helper Caroline. She was out delivering posters (and doing a grand job) when she literally bumped into Jack's owner and friend. Following newspaper article there was a lead that young chaps have acquired a dog very similar to Jack in BECONTREE. Please, please can we have any helpers out that way spreading the word - this is not far from Barking at all and so very possible. Please share to anyone your know living that way PLEASE. Thank you.x

One more thing...... as its sadly an emotive story maybe the local paper Barking and Dagenham Recorder could do a story if you phone them up.....? Due to the circumstances they may feel it warrants the space. Worth a try as that would reach a lot of people.....
Tara H
Just looking at Abbey Road on googlemaps, and it maybe worth putting some posters near the Church, as Ive heard some dogs have been found hiding in graveyards etc as its quiet. Also opposite The Barking Abbey grounds, there are some flats they maybe council ones, maybe put some posters around there. As they may have seen Jack about.Hope that helps
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Jack still had his lead on as owner collapsed. Was Jack lead away? Pleading for anyone who who saw something on 12th May in Abbey Road.
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Staffie not Jack. :-( Ok we keep searching, folks!
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
I have also texted both numbers as a staffie has come to light in Grays, long shot but need to check.
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Oh dear, what an awful situation. Okay, we need to share this fur baby far and wide. He could have been taken or could have got scared and didn't know what to do so hid. I would go back to the area as if he hid he will come back and look for you/owner. I will email you advice now - please read it and do it all. The fact that Jack is chipped is in hi sfavour, however, you cannot rely on it as sometimes errors occur so you do need to back it up with call sto vets and kennels. Do as Tara said below. Most importantly, poster the area - flood it with posters. Someone saw something, okay? Let's get this baby home. Father needs his dog and dog needs his father. Come on team, let's go! x
Tara H
Hiya
Sorry to hear about your partners Father and Jack .Get some posters up asap in the area he was lost, someone may have taken him in. Also phone the Barking And Dagenham dog warden 0208 215 30 10 also I would phone Newham Dog Warden 0208 586 97 39. Also Redbridge Redbridge dog warden 0208 708 57 16. As all these boroughs are very close especially at Barking, as just over the river past Tescos is Newham. One other thing I would do is Phone Goddards the vets at Barking , in case someone handed him in there and leave a poster there for the info. A good thing that the fella is chipped. Lets hope you get the boy back soon ! Good luck !

Sorry to see that JACK VANISHED DURING 999 RESCUE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (52394)

  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
