This is wonderful news. So pleased you have Nibbles back where she belongs. I wish people would not buy a pet off a stranger. The best thing to do is to visit a rescue centre where many dogs (And other pets) are desperately looking for a new loving home. Stay safe now Nibbles:-)xxx Doglost, and scanners rock!!!

THE FULL STORY: Halo Microchip Scanner

Nibbles was stolen on the 17th December 2012 and there had been no sightings of her since.

Several weeks ago a gentleman bought Nibbles in good faith for £500 from another man for his autistic daughter who had fallen in love with her. When he took Nibbles to a microchip implanter to have her microchipped, Nibbles was scanned with a Halo microchip scanner and it came up immediately that the dog was reported missing with Doglost. After some discussions between the gentleman, Doglost and Scanner Angel, the gentleman has done the honourable and brave thing of handing Nibbles back to her owners, even though this was obviously very upsetting for his daughter.

Although it’s taken a day to arrange the travel arrangements between Manchester and Wakefield, Doglost volunteer Claire Gresty has picked Nibbles up from Manchester. Carrie, Nibbles’ owner, who managed to get transport with the kind help of her friends and supporters , met up en-route with Claire and has has now been finally reunited with Nibbles.

We are all very happy that finally after nearly two years, Nibbles is home with Carrie and her four children and will be able to have a happy Christmas altogether again.

Where Nibbles has been for the last two years is completely unknown but she appears in good health and if it wasn’t for her microchip, Halo scanner, Doglost and Carrie’s persistance in not giving up looking for her, she might never have made it back home.

WOO HOO NIBBLES is BACK with her family, have done a REUNITED photo now, sorry for the delay had so many to choose from and what a pic, NIBBLES happy to be home and giving Claire a big kiss to say THANK YOU.

What a day it has been and well worth it as got a brilliant result.

Not long now before NIBBLES will be BACK with her family who are on route to collect her from the wonderful DL Area Co-ordinator ClaireBearG who collected NIBBLES earlier today.

Have spoken to one very happy owner while they are travelling. Would love to be a fly on the wall when they all meet up. Been a nail biting day waiting for NIBBLES to be safely with ClaireBearG.

lady has just rung doglost after scanning Nibbles with a halo scanner. Nibbles is now in Manchester and we are trying to make contact with owner.

Have spoken to owner of Nibbles, she is a female. They have made enqs re found dog 54285 & it is not their dog.

Can we clarify if Nibbles is a 'he' or a 'she', there is a female pug found ref 54285, although says 'not chipped', these can sometimes be missed.

Nibbles was stolen from his garden and has been sold on, possibly twice and It is now believed he may be in the LUPSETT area.
His owner is actively searching for Nibbles and contacted all the relevant authorities when he was stolen and Petlog are aware and have him flagged up on their system.
Hoping that Nibbles will be located very soon xx
