Fantastic Result and such a clever girl following those familiar smells back home! - 2013-06-02 13:39 Tiga
- I just knew that she would be home overnight but I did not want to say it and tempt fate, she was so close and by scenting the route home had to bring a result - so so glad you listened not only last night but over the last 9 days. You have found your home now Abby, enjoy it.Last edited: 2013-06-02 13:40:30 by Tiga

- A special thanks to the following people,
Shereen for keeping my morale up with her kind phone calls.
Diana who came out especially to help and printed posters, many thanks. You are a very kind lady and it was a pleasure to meet you.
JB whose knowledge was invaluable and whose scenting advice yesterday I believe helped bring Abby home. Thank you so much.
May the border collie and her mum and dad who came out and helped look for Abby. Forever grateful.
Annabel at Ardley Kennels for advice.
Mel and her husband who spotted Abby yesterday afternoon which really helped us find the location she was in.
Martin and his lurcher who came out to show us where he saw Abby.
Everyone I have met, talked to, given a poster to, many thanks.
Abby is now lying next to me snoozing, very tired after her travels. Her sister and her other pals were so please to see her.
I still cannot believe it really. To anyone else whose dog is missing don't give up hope, Abby came home after 9 days. Sphinx - 2013-06-02 07:29 Emma-Li
- Wonderful news!!! So happy for you. Well done Abby for getting home where you'll be safe. Maybe I'll see you around Bicester Sphinx. Good job (especially with your bbqs at the road side) :)
- 2013-06-02 07:28 Diana
- I was just going to print some more posters ready for another search walk when I saw your news. She is not even my dog but I am crying with happiness.
Diana - 2013-06-02 05:57 Sphinx
- ABBY IS HOME. We left the back gate and back door open last night with her bed outside. My husband got up at 5.00 this morning and there she was wandering around the garden. Apart from a cut on her paw she is also very tired and hungry but seems to be fine.
She was missing for 9 days in total, I bet if she could speak she would have a story to tell. A big THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED LOOK FOR HER. I did not realise there were so many kind people out there willing to give up there time to help look for my dog. Without Dog Lost only a small percentage of people would know she was missing so another big thank you. I will send a donation asap. I now have to remember where I put up all the posters and take them down. Sphinx - 2013-06-01 21:44 Tiga
- Yes she is not far away. Come on Abby, almost home now where your playmates are missing you.
- 2013-06-01 20:58 Sphinx
- JB. I have been out and scented home from where she was last seen. Maybe lucky this time.
- 2013-06-01 19:13 Tiga
- Just looked on google maps - so close - go to Buckingham Road and scent back home along a safe route. You may not be seeing her but she is probably watching you!
- 2013-06-01 19:03 Tiga
- Great news that she is keeping in the area and looking for you. Stay patient and remember what I told you. If anyone spots her do not call her name and do not look her in the eyes. Sit down and ring the owner!
- 2013-06-01 17:58 Shereen
- Fantastic news...have also added a new picture to show her face better and her size...just putting it on now...Also Bump

- ABBY was sighted this afternoon (Sat 1st June) at 3.00pm walking along the footpath which leads from the shops in the Southwold Estate to the Buckingham road. Someone I know rang me and we ran up there as this is only about 600yds away from where we live, but she had run off. I think she might be trying to come home (Brashfield Road). Since the sighting on Wednesday (burger van at Caversfield) this is only a distance of about 800 yds. She still has her red collar on and looks a bit thin. We walked round the Southwold Estate for about 3 hours but no sign. Going back there this evening. The people who rang me called her name and she stopped and turned and then ran. PLEASE if you spot her don't call her just follow if possible and ring us asap. To think we missed her by about 15 mins is heart breaking. Thanks Sphinx
- 2013-06-01 11:47 Sphinx
- Thank you for that idea. I don't know if they found that collie or not. There have been no more sightings since Wednesday. We are out every day looking for her. Please come home Abby your family misses you very much.

- Just a thought Sphinx - around Xmas time a border collie was lost in Bicester and the owners put a large painted board on the Tesco/Bicester Village roundabout with details and a mobile number. If people spot Abby they know where to get the contact number from, as not everyone is aware of doglost or on twitter or facebook. Hoping you find her soonLast edited: 2013-05-31 20:24:05 by kazzi1

- I have given my postman some posters to put around the depot and to give out. Thanks Diana
- 2013-05-30 16:25 Diana
- After meeting you this afternoon a thought occurred to me - will your postman/women take a poster? He/she covers alot of ground and may hear about Abby.
Diana - 2013-05-30 12:16 Sphinx
- Talked to lady in Burger Van again she was a bit mixed up with the days. She was seen Wednesday afternoon at 2.00 in Skimmimgdish Lane walking along grass outside the MOD entrance.
- 2013-05-30 11:16 Emma-Li
- I'll try to get over there tonight for a look again. Driving that way every day and always keep a look out for her.
- 2013-05-30 09:53 Sphinx
- I meant to say that she is still in the Caversfield area and has not moved from there since Saturday. Please help to look for her.
Sphinx - 2013-05-30 09:30 Sphinx
- The sighting in Blenheim Drive was not Abby. However the lady in the burger van and her son definitely saw her on Tuesday afternoon walking down Skimmingdish Lane between the MOD site entrance and the houses so she is staying in that area. Sphinx

- Great news about the sighting! Been so quiet for a few days, was really worried. Fingers crossed you find her soon.

- Been cycling up and down Fringford Road to Heath/Fringford crossroad and round Caversfield tonight. Lots of posters up, well done, but no luck spotting Abby. :(
- 2013-05-26 16:11 Sphinx
- Thanks to all of you for giving up your time to look for Abby. She had a terrible life in Greece before we adopted her that is why she is terrified of people. Little by little she was improving and getting more confident. Abby is a very gentle dog and wouldn't harm a fly. She must be so scared out there on her own. I get upset just thinking about it. - I think she is still in the Caversfied area. Between yesterdays sighting at 8.10 and the sighting at 8.00pm she had only moved about 500 yds. Also now she is limping she will not go that far (hopefully). I think she lies low somewhere during the day and comes out early morning and evening. Thanks to everyone who is helping to look for her. Sphinx
- 2013-05-26 11:10 Shereen
- More advice given,I hope today brings some good news Sphinx
- 2013-05-26 10:08 Sphinx
- She was spotted last night on the Fringford road heading towards Fringford at 8.00pm. She was also limping badly.Obviously she is now in Buckinghamshire so if anyone knows people who could keep a look out for her I would be grateful.Sphinx
- 2013-05-26 08:51 Sphinx
- We have been up since 5.00am out looking for her. Still no sign.If she is still in the area you would have thought there would have been more sightings by now.
- 2013-05-25 16:26 Sphinx
- No more sightings of Abby since this morning. We are really worried now. Our other five dogs miss her so much, especially her sister who is also a rescue from Greece. Please come home Abby.

- She was reported seen in Southwold Lane Bicester at 8.10 this morning Saturday 25th. My husband is now out looking for her. If anyone on the Southwold estate can look also it would be helpful. From Susan her owner.

- Just been out walking to see if there was any sightings of Abby and bumped into Neil. Hopefully Abby will find her way home tonight, but if she doesn't I'm happy to walk any areas you suggest and keep my eye out for her and to print and distribute posters. Keeping my fingers crossed for Abby.

- Thanks AliceH and Emma-Li ...Abby is so very nervous she came from Greece and was adopted in August..I think the message we need to spread here will be NOT TO CHASE ,but to call owners(numbers above)ASAP so they can get to the area,Abby will only come to her owners and very wary of strangers...I will update posters with this message.Last edited: 2013-05-24 22:10:34 by Shereen

- Shared on FB. Can't print posters since my ink is low. I'll get more tomorrow and will print some off and post around Bicester if needed. Will let people know about her whilst walking my dog in Stoke Wood tomorrow morning, plenty of Bicester peeps there.
