Alerted 48676 - Glad this girl was picked up by someone caring enough to alert us. Its better to know than forever wonder.
SH
How heartbreaking, may you be running free with all the other beautiful souls over the bridge. If there is any financial help needed for this beautiful girl to go to her final resting place please let me know xxx

RIP poor girl..you will be missed especially by all who were searching for you xxx
Shereen
Just to let you all know that Angel will NOT be incinerated which normally happens when a dog is picked up by Highways...She will be getting the proper cremation this lost baby deserves.this message has been passed on to me from the Basingstoke DW.Last edited: 2013-05-31 16:46:30 by Shereen

Thanks Lankeela I agree...as long as the warning is there, then there is a choice of clicking on the page or not....in this case it has helped quite alot of people who were trying desperately to help Angel...in total 3 dog wardens,Myself, police and various sighter's...this poor girl couldn't be caught or even trapped as she wasn't sticking to one area for enough time for a feeding pattern or trap (Which was the plan)...All of us involved are completely gutted...We all just hope now she is at peace...and maybe we can find her real owners and give them closure...so sad :'(
Lankeela
How sad but at least you tried and she is no longer lost and frightened. As the person who commented on the photo of the other deceased dog being put on here without warning, I was pleased to see the 'graphic photo' warning before looking at the page. I realise owners of missing dogs need to know if it is their dog or not, and thought this was a good way of alerting people.

Nickydog I think Angel is a lovely name to give this poor girl. RIP+ Angel, and run free at the bridge. A~~~Candle~~~burns for Angel. (((((HUGS)))))xxx

I agree Shereen - this has to be the same dog, ID52643. What a shame that she wasn't caught sooner. Run free, dear Angel xxx

Can she take the name Angel to the bridge? Have sent her a lighted candle to show the way.

I wish id of seen or heard about this poor girl sooner. With this being practically on my doorstep I only wish I could have done more to help.

mathers22 Good idea to give her a name, unless owners are traced of course. My husband suggested Beth?

So very, very sorry to see this. Her body may have been incinerated, but her spirit lives on at the bridge. Have fun sweet one with all the other "Rainbow babies" in the warm sunshine. I hope her owners can be traced so that at least they will have closure. RIP+ God Blessx A~~~Candle~~~burns for you.

Utterly heartbreaking. Such a pity that this girl wasn't able to be found in time, but many thanks to the dog warden for trying so hard to find her. Hope the owners can be traced in order to have closure. Run free at the bridge, lovely girl, whoever you were xxxx

I would like to applaud Dog Lost for putting this picture on here - it is upsetting to see but at least owners can get closure instead of never knowing what has happened and always wondering about their pet - RIP gorgeous safe now at Rainbow Bridge. Julie xx

Oh forgot to say...Laura went to scan the dog as Highways don't...sadly no chip....

Sorry to those of you that don't want to see photos like this.....I assure you we don't either...But that binbag normally closes and the dog is incinerated by the highways...I know Laura...the dog warden did not want to open it...but at least with her co operation and photo we may give closure to the owner....and the body of someones beloved dog is safe...for a week...tx Laura....

Email from dog warden...

On the 29th May I was called to the A30 by Old Basing (Conkers Garden Centre) and The Hatch Pub to a distressed German Shepherd, I spent most of the day back and forth trying desperately to locate this poor dog, sadly I could not find her and eventually gave up.

Today we had a call to say a dog matching the description of the one I was after had been knocked over and killed on the M3 NEAR JUNCTION 6

The dog is a female, adult shepherd, black and tan, she had no collar or microchip or tattoo

Thank you to Lyn Byfield (Hart dog warden ) and her apprentice Jasmine and also Rob Green CSPO (Basingstoke)

Who kindly assisted yesterday with trying to locate this poor dog.

I can’t tell you how devastated I am with the outcome I just wished we could of found her.

This dog is now being held at the Barn Animal hospital Lychpit

Oh bless her :( R.I.P. xxx
