  • Other Info Terrier type, rough wiry coat. Nervous when approached, I couldn't get close enough to get hold of him/her. Couldn't be coaxed with food & wasn't interested in my dogs either. Was wearing a collar but couldn't see a tag. Looked very lost or "dumped" I'll be back in the park tomorrow morning so will keep a look out for the dog again. Definitely looking for his/her owner as was running backward & forward in the carpark. Will get a photo if there again tomorrow!

I don't think it was Alfie. The dog I saw was more brown than black. No sign of him/her again today either.

Any chance it could be Alfie ID 51877. It's a longshot but am looking at every terrier x that's found x
He has a bit of white on his chest x

There was no sign of the dog this morning. I went armed with cheesy treats & the camera. A lady I spoke to said she had heard there were 3 dogs dumped in the same park a few weeks ago. A JRT was caught by the DW, a staffy was seen in the area & now this one may be the third. Don't know if any of that is actual fact though.
I have the local DW number in my phone in case we spot him/her again. Just hope s/hes back home now.

Has he been seen again xx

Thank you Driftydog. Ive just seen the message. Always worth checking out. Ive looked on the out of hours Dog Warden service and there isn't a dog fitting the description listed as missing. I hope the dog is safe and has taken shelter somewhere. If you see it again give the Stockport Dog Wardens a ring 0161 474 4207 :)

I have seen a pic of Arthur & sadly it doesn't look like him. Have "spoken" to his owner on FB so she knows.
