A found Black and Tan GSD reported to Doglost on 12/7/06 so dogs details have been sent to Owner's Son.She is a black and tan sold in suspicious circumstances and no papers as yet received.......Fingers crossed.Jx

Wasn't Sheven sadly as John checked it out and emailed me.Sheven's Poster is still up by main door into Charity Shop at Woodgreen when I went there yesterday which a lot of people will see and other posters are around too.Keep looking and thanks , it all helps - she's out there somewhere.Jx

Thanks Angelita ! I have emailed Owner's Son John with the link and copied Ad in email.Definately worth him seeing it ! Good to see you are looking too - much appreciated and thanks from John and his mum too I'm sure.They miss Sheven terribly - poor things .Will post on here once I know more.Jx

There is a found GSD Bitch in the green section today 6/4/06.I have copied the page and sent to Jon the son of Owner and the contact for anything regarding Sheven.Have asked him to check it out , there is no picture available.Will wait to hear from him.Fingers crossed.Jx

Just to say I have had another email from Owner's Son about Sheven.Unfortunately the Police has now closed the case on Sheven and are not going to do any more enquiries.His mum who owns Sheven still misses her terribly and they and us won't not give up in the Search for Sheven.Posters are up around area and on my Cars still.Checking Ads too for Sheven and wishing she's found soon.Jx

Have had an email from Sheven's Owner's Son - Jon which I have copied below .We are all still looking and pleased Jon's mum who owns Sheven is safely out of Hospital now. "Thank you very much for the message today, sorry I haven't been in touch, my mum is out of hospital now but sven is still missing, the police are following the leads up but no news. There is other dogs in the area which have been stolen in cambridgeshire and also, cambridge evening news have done a big article in the paper about dog being stolen in cammbrige and surrounding areas. many thank for your help and support." regards John

Haven't heard from Owner's Son yet.I will post here when he contacts me.Saw a jet black G.SD today in a Park and my heart almost stopped !Then when I stopped the Car to get a better look it was a Dog not a Bitch and not shorthaired.Still looking though ......Jx

And so the hunt goes on. Shame it was not Sheven but good news for the owners of the lost one. I agree with papers may be a story- owner in hospital etc might do the trick. we also get a few'freebee'papers here that are delivered to all houses. Maybe if you get them it would reach a large number of people.Also maybe a mention on local radio??? Need to keep the momentum going on this one so that Sheven becomes well heard about!!! Jane F

Ok I have spoken to Owner's Son's Wife and after speaking to the Police she knows it wasn't Sheven unfortunately.The good news is that the found GSD has been reunited with her Owner at Swindon.I will let admin know to put found GSD in the blue.So the search continues.I have suggested they contact local Papers to do Sheven's Story which she agrees with.Thanks anyway.Jx

recid a lead from my GSD rescue of a black GSD in Braydon]> not sure of how near]> Must get my geography in order but if Sheven was stolen maybe location is not an issue. Jane - Good idea.I looked on the Internet for info as I don't know this Village at all but had no luck.I think it's such a small Village without those facilities but they must be nearby - Owner's Son will know.So now I have correct email address for him I have emailed him to ask him to look into and to update each other since we met last Sat.Thanks.Come on Sheven -come home please ! Another idea- get local schools to ask kids to look out for her( even put a poster near the school- or if any one has kids near talk to people and ask take a poster, hand out flyers). Its half term coming up- there will be lots of events- if same as here in Kent- any event at places such as sport centres, adventure inside places etc etc - scan the local paper then get posters at the entrances. Really hope some one spots her soon. Jane

Ok my lovely postman has taken a Poster to put in his main depot and will spread the word around.Owner said last night he should be able to post on Sheven's Page via his wife soon.Have seen the found GSD/Border Collie today - unlikely it's Sheven but I have text Owner to check it out as you never know ..Jx

Another good place for posters is the main sorting office for postman and the depot of dustman. Have found both to be extreemly helpful in searches in my area & the more help the better. Sorry to far away to help but will internet search to check for dogs for sale etc . Jane f

Owner has contacted Rosedene, and after discussions we all feel that the GSD in the pound is not Sheven. Another photo of the poundie will be available later today and will be emailed to owner for final verification

WOW ! What a time for my Computer to crash and visiting Hubbie's sick son in Hospital-sorry but back in the Loop now. Owner is 98% certain that the beautiful GSD found by the Sandwell DW is Sheven. I enlarged the pic and I must say there were certain similar characteristics. I did think of Jazzi, but since it is well past 6.30pm, I'll email her !!

I agree Jayne and thanks to everyone involved again.Hubbie and I met the Owner's Son today and gave him a copy of the Poster so that he can photocopy and distribute around.He is ok with the similarity of Dog shown but Sheven looks virtually black all over when she's standing up.Anyone out there with an all black Shorthair GSD that could send a Picture to admin ?! We looked at a Map of the Area and I will Poster round west of Ickleton which is Melbourn, Meldreth,Shepreth Area and he will concentrate on postering Ickleton and North towards Cambridge City area.Hubbie and I did the A505 (very busy main Road) West of Duxford which is near Ickleton postering Laybys,Snack Bars along there and Petrol Stations.Owner's Son did East of Duxford Postering at the same time. I am going to Woodgreen Animal Rescue soon to report her there and check.Fingers crossed . Jx

Owner's Son has phoned me back and said he is still trying to find a Photo but he will keep looking.I have suggested a Library Photo to him which I've just found so I'll send this to admin now to temporarily go on.He's been really busy today in the Search and is thankful to all involved.Jx

Hi Dee -Have checked distance using AA Route Planner as I'm geographically challenged always !! It is 49 miles from Ickleton to Peterborough and takes 1Hr 5Mins by Car.Why - what are you thinking ?Jx

I have spoken to the Owner's Son who is looking after Sheven whilest his Mother is in Hospital.Ickleton is right on the edge of Cambridgeshire with Essex bordering it .He has reported this to South Cambs Police and told them of his suspicions with interest shown in Dog recently.He has a Crime Number .The House was broken into and Sheven taken when no -one was in but nothing else was stolen .The Police are making enquiries .He is also going to check with local Police that Essex Police are informed too .A Photo is being sent to Doglost admin shortly and then Posters will be done.Sheven is a very distinctive GSD with predominate black colouring and a small tan marking.She is shorthair and her Coat is very shiny and silky to touch .I have said I will poster the area once Photo sent and go to Wood Green Animal Shelter too just in case.I've advised him to ask around in local Pubs , Vets , Rescues etc.I have given him Numbers for Dog Wardens for South Cambs and Essex.Will update here accordingly.Hoping this beautie is back home soon. I can only presume you can find an email function with in the phone or link the phone up to a computer. She needs to ask someone within the hospital to help - they will know.
