- re the docked tail, dogs do not have to be micro-chipped at the same time as the docking which is done at a couple of days old. The puppies are then to be micro-chipped when the puppies are deemed old enough, the vet I worked for used to insist on doing it at the same time, but other vets prefer to do them when they are older, but then have to rely on the owners bringing them back into be done, a lot of the time they are not done so the certificate that is issued cannot be linked with an individual puppy in the litter until a microchip is placed, which most owners do at 8 to 12 weeks, but ideally each certificate should have a microchip number of the puppy before they are sold.

- I have changed the breed type as we seem to think it is at least a sprocker.

- For tail to be docked and no chip would suggest not done by a vet.
This could be a sprocker ( cocker x springer) as looks very similar to my own
I will alert a good contact who knows this area well. - 2013-06-04 20:53 Sammie
