Jane Carr ALLS WELL that (almost) ENDS WELL ........ Both dogs arrived home safely ..... After a bit of canine pandemonium whining jumping and standing on us !!!! Snowy (snoz) and Cadbury tucked into food like they'd never eaten before .... - 2013-06-07 07:29 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team

- had a mess from Jane last night to say that she is going to get the dogs today and has got funds to pay for it which is great. Morally i feel this is really wrong and cruel. Heres her message.
I tried negotiating with. The 'company' that has them and there stance is as follows ....... As the dogs were collected as 'strays' there is a 140 pound out of hours collection fee on each dog plus 80 pounds for each dog for holding them ..... I explained that they were part of a theft not lost , but was told they only check with Thames valley police not Surrey or the met who were aware of the theft I gave crime reference numbers but was told 'he' (whoever he is ) would not reduce fee ,,,,, this company acts on behalf of London Borough of Hillingdon out of hours I contacted hillingdon and was told I'd receive a call back for which I'm still waiting ..... I have to pay 438 pounds by card today .... I was told that really it should rise to 480 today but they would hold it they only hold dogs for eight days before rehoming them and they counted yesterday as day five ( dog one was collected at 9.50 pm sat dog 2 at 1.45 am sun ) they are not interested in confirmation from police due to them collecting them as strays ....... I was and still am grateful to all and them for there help in finding them but feel like I've been robbed sgain !! :(

- Ark can you not feel some compasion in these circumstances and waive most if not all the fee for these two dogs. They have been stolen for Gods sake hasnt their owner suffered enough or do we of Doglost have to club together and help these dogs get home.. Wouldn't be the first time I have done it.

- I think in this situation there should be no fee it's ridiculous , or on any other stolen dog xx

- Just had a message from Jane via facebook saying that these are her dogs but they require over £400.00 to return them. How can this be fair when they were stolen. Can dogs lost do anything to help waive this fee.Poor Jane xxx

- Looking for a Jane Carr to come forward as believe they could potentially be her stolen dogs from the weekend?

- I am pretty sure this one and the brindle male are registered missing on a Facebook page for lost and stolen working dogs. I have left a comment for the owner with the link to this page.
