Absolutely amazing news I'm so pleased she's safe and well and been reunited with owners.

Was about to put up some posters locally but I'm really pleased to learn that Gemma's back where she belongs. Hope the guy who kept her safe will be appropriately thanked for his kindness.
What a pity so many dogs don't have tags with address/phone no. They could be reunited much more quickly - it's so simple!

Whilst at work I met the guy who found this greyhound whilst out on a walk. It was a weekend & so couldn't go to vet for microchip check & dog warden don't work at weekends so he was holding onto her for safe keeping. Owner now aware that greyhound is safe & they should be on their way now to pick her up.

Thanks for the extra info Helen, I'll keep my eyes open for dogs, car, man whilst out and about. If he was local he should see posters and maybe make contact, but if not gone to RSPCA as he said he was going to then maybe not. Could it be reported to police as theft. Like Rog said it is not a road you would drive down for no reason, so maybe he had been visiting someone or to Ladybird Nurseries.

Does anyone know approx. what time she was picked up, what type or colour car? It may help if this information is on posters.

Just posted alert on Streetlife our local social site in Suffolk. My thoughts are with Gemma and hoping for her safe return. Fingers crossed x

Strange that Gemma was seen being put in a car - was this in Gromford Lane? If so it's a bit off the beaten track so could be local people. No more info on the car - make, colour or registration?
I'm less than 2 miles away and am happy to go looking for Gemma - she sounds very similar to our greyhound - although it seems unlikely that she'll still be in the area if she was driven off. Anyway a few more details would be helpful.

I wonder is Gemma a retired racer? Please consider emailing the link to Gemmas doglost page/poster (and racing name if known) to Jim at greyhounds@racingpost.com & the RGT at greyhounds@retiredgreyhounds.co.uk. They are very supportive and will help share the word. Wishing you all the very best, wishing Gemma safely home without further delay.

Thank you Carol x

Gemma was no more than 300yds away from her home when some strangers were seen putting her in their car and drive off, the owner later found out that they said they were going to take her to the R.S.P.C.A but so far as yet she hasn't been handed in anywhere....
I have advised the owner to put an appeal out on the local radio station.

I have shared on Facebook, sorry I can't help with the search today. Stay safe Gemma.
