Thank you to everyone who phoned and messaged. The dog taken on the train was, sadly, not Merlo. Now awaiting results of scanning on the dogs killed on A38 on Saturday morning.

Hi, your lost picture came up on my newsfeed on Facebook. On Saturday morning I took my partner to work, which involves some time on the a38. We were Plymouth bound, and just before the first Liskeard exit there was a dog matching this description at the side of the road. I'm sorry to say it had been knocked down. I had my toddler in the car or else I would have picked him up to get his chopped scanned. On my return journey the dog had been picked up. Sorry if this is your dog, but felt I should put something as I would want to know any information if it was one of my pets
