Don't want to put a dampner on campaigning, but petitions don't work !!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jaspenswood, it is no good persuading owners to get their dogs chipped if the vets do not automatically scan every dog that passes through their hands ie. not just the stray/found ones. Also Jesters Law refers to the highways and railtrack whereas the petition for it to be compulsory for all organisations coming into contact with a dog to scan for microchip and check for tattoos can be obtained from me. Anyone interested in this campaign can pm me for a copy of the petition. Dolly 6.2.05Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I hope your baby is home soon! I'm not in your area and I'm sorry I can't help but, I have suggested a meet with a couple of people this weekend to discuss tactics, areas to cover etc! The more the merrier if anyone around Manchester would like to meet?? PM me and I'll sort something out and we can crack on and deal with certain area's each!! Also, sent email to Vetlink which is a publication sent to over 3700 vets in March and I'm hoping we're in time for a print in there!! Also in process of emailing vets asking them to check doglost on a regular basis, persuade owners to get dogs chipped and sign Jesters Law petition!!! Let's hope a few more helpers join up!! I have informed Jayne and hopefully we'll get a response and then I can pass to Jayne to pass on her pearls of wisdom!!!! Speak soon. VicLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Any chance of a photo? Has the owner contacted the Advertiser. They have put missing dogs in this paper for us this year with photos so would be worth contacting. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
