Hi Jan. Checked trap at 4.00 am and we have a Max! He is none the worse for wear and is currently tucking into a double helping of breakfast. We cannot convey our thanks to yourself, Thomasina, Marlene and Sarah, Julie and John and everyone else connected to Doglost for the support and advice. It was invaluable. Many, many thanks. - UPDATE not long received from owner:
Just set trap. Called out and tapped the dish and he meowed back but couldn't get to each other, bushes etc too thick. Biscuits had gone from before, not catfood. Went round otherside of the bushes but no more meowing. I'll leave for a couple of hours and try again. Hopefully he can get to the trap. - 2013-06-11 22:40 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West

- Max was having his routine vacs and got spooked by traffic and bust the door on his carrier. Owner lives about 6 miles away in Litherland. They have been advised to let pubs in the area know about Max in case he is drawn to them with the smell of food. Jan x

- Thank you everyone for posting on Max's page.
Tri's Mum I've added to the details about his collar.
Owner has left Max's favourite blanket in the area and also food which up until 2.00pm had not been touched. Scent has been put down back to their home.
Owner did SIGHT Max at approx 8.00pm last night and midnight on the wasteland behind the old petrol station in between The Royal Oak Pub and Northway Vet Centre. They will be going back to the area tonight when it is quiet. x

- Sorry to see Max is missing. You could tgry (My trick, as I have two cats) I cook a tiny morsel of food in the microwave: in my case chicken or/and fish. The smell usually brings them back in no time. As Max has only been gone a day he is probably asleep in someones garden in a hedge. Neutered male cats dont tend to wander too far like FULL TOMS. Also if you have`nt already try tap;ping his dish with food on, perhaps tuna. Good luck
