- Update from vets fb page:
Stray Jack Russell terrier update.
The stray Jack Russell terrier (who we have fondly named Betsy) was operated on by an orthopaedic surgeon last week. Her pelvis and leg fractures have been repaired and she now recovering well. She is very comfortable and walking well considering the extent of the fractures. The surgeon, based in Exeter, kindly gave his time free of charge and the additional costs for her care have been covered by the parent company which owns Harris Hill & Gibbons Vets (and a thank you to the Rspca and dog warden for their contributions). One of the practice staff members will be looking after Betsy until she is fully recovered and ready to be rehomed.
Everyone at Harris Hill & Gibbons have fallen in love with her, and we're sure you will join us in wishing her a swift recovery and happy New home soon. - 2013-06-26 23:17 BBKM
- Poor little girl, hope her owners can be found, but good to read she will be rehomed if they are not. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery sweetheart x

- MillieVW Thank you very much for keeping the page updated re how this little girl is getting on. It would be worth sticking up a few posters near where she was found, in case as you say the owner doesn't have internet.

- This girl has gone off to specialist to have surgery on broken pelvis then will either go back to vets or bcdh depending on when and how she's recovering.
I gather funds have been raised already to cover her treatment and there are already people enquiring about rehoming at bcdh. I'm still hoping there's an owner out there's that's frantic trying to find her, maybe isn't online or know how to go about reporting her missing. I will still keep looking and hoping x - 2013-06-22 16:24 mathers22
- Thank god there are some potential owners for when she is better. Good luck to her xx

- The vets have done what they are able to within the 7 days, once the 7 days are up the vets can start to take donations towards her treatment. I was told she is looking at at least another 8 weeks of treatment. Lots of offers to rehome if her owners don't come forward, rehoming will be through bath cats and dogs home only, not handled by the vets. Once she is well enough she will go over to bcdh, though I gather she won't be well enough for a while yet. Willing this girl to get well quickly x

- What will happen to this poor little mite after her vet treatment? Will she be fostered or put into rescue centre? Fingers crossed for her. She just looks such a cutie.

- Spoken to vets, no luck finding owner as yet. If anyone in/near corsley could get some posters printed and put up that would be great, this little girl needs her family x

- I don't know much about this girl, she's just started being shared on Facebook and it says she's missing her family so I wanted to get her listed on DL in the hope someone spots her. The post says she was found in the road. Bless that little face, she looks like she's doing well despite huge bandages. I will ring the vets later today and see if there are any updates x
