I don't know for sure, but actually I doubt it. Would it be Croydon? I could try and ring in the morning. Owner was very concerned that they could not catch the dog, but I suspect he's busy searching for his boys and girls.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner had a call that there was a lurcher on the road near Addington. Unfortunately it is not Toes or Bea, but is lost and very frightened. It has run off. They could not get near it. Anyone know of a lost light brown lurcher?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Still no news at all. Everyone is looking, but we really need a lucky break. Owner says he's checked out several local sites - he's a big strong lad and will not be intimidated. I was told about a red pick up behaving suspiciously in the Edenbridge area, but owner is certain they are not at the Edenbridge site. Also, the police promise of media coverage has come to nothing - why does that not surprise me, so owner will try the sevenoaks papers on Monday. I went to see the Border news, but as the theft was in kent not Surrey, they are not sure!! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Nik I can call the council on Monday and see what they say. Will update accordingly. Seems to be a flurry all in one go round here. Jake 21.10.05 Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sudden spates of thefts tend to suggest a little invasion. Would suggest a call to the enforcement officer at the local council. They will know whether a group have moved onto a piece of land in the area. These officers share information with their counterparts in other areas, so they may often know where the next stopping off point is.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is not far from my area, I will poster, inform friends, check local papers etc. has anyone tried to get a mention on local radio station? Radio Kent are normally quite helpful about stolen dogs. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have just seen Bilbo, it all just seems very coincidental. I wondered if these were linked as when our lurcher Shino was stolen a few years ago, before he was taken, loads of other stuff went missing in the surrounding area which led us to the not so desirables. It appeared that there was some traveling around at the time Shino was taken, as they were traveling we never got him back, but I wondered if this could be linked as it appears a string of things have happened in the last 3/4 days and all seem to be a mysterious with no clues, and from Random places. I think a field check is in order, maybe see if any new "communities" have moved in that we haven't realised yet. I have tried to call the county border, but have had no such luck, Marian, do you have any spare time to try and call them this week to get the dogs in for next week, as work is sooo busy I can only try once a day first thing! Sorry. Marian please pm me and I can give you details. In the mean time, going to print a poster of each of these dogs and give to a friend of mine who might be able to help spread the word a bit. Unlikely, but I do wonder about Bilbo the JRT missing from Gravesend as Toes and friends went missing in the early hours of the 13th and the A25 is no distance from Gravesend. I have put up some posters in Edenbridge today. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Marian, could the two be linked as seems very strange that this should all happen within a day of each other??! Tried to cntact the county border but haven't had any luck. Will keep trying. Sarah xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Also, no distance to the surrey hotspots - Outwood, Mormon temple etc. I have just had my horse box broken in to today about 5 miles down the road from Brasted - sadly, nowhere is safe anymore. The owner is well known amongst us horsey people and everyone is looking out.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Eve, New Addington is about 20/30 minutes away from Brasted, but the following areas surround Brasted and are all in a 20 minute driving distance and Brastead is about 10 mins from the Motor way, you also have Bromley and Orpington about 20 mins away, Edenbridge, Oxted are in the close vincinity, so lots of nice places to poster. Will spread the word about to family in Orpington way and will keep a close eye out in Croydon. Lets hope we can make all four dogs to hot! xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Brasted's OK I think, but not a million miles away from New Addington is it? Will be visiting my parents down that way later this week, so will take some posters and keep my eyes peeled!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just posted to other lost. Pity none of them appear to be chipped or tagged. Brasted never used to be this sort of area-perhaps I've been away too long. Hope these guys appear soon- could they have been stolen to order-they sound quite distinctive.?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Right, this is my back yard. I spoke to the owner this pm and these dogs we re quite definitely stolen - cut padlocks etc. He is at this moment getting photos to be e mailed, but owner is not on line, so any sightings, please ring him. He says the lurchers are really quite distinctive, so eyes peeled in the usual areas please.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
