Terribly sad to read Lola drowned. Had no idea before coming to this site how many dogs drown, and how easily. Tragic.

In certain places swimming pools have to have a child proof fence around them, it should be done everywhere and then this would never happen. So sorry to the family at this sad time for their loss. R.I.P. Lola, play at the bridge with others before you. XX

So so sad. RIP Lola. Why can't people with swimming pools cover them when not in use. Would stop such tragedies.

I am in tears after reading this, my first Bernese was also found dead in a swimming pool and I know how heartbreaking it is. My thoughts are with the owners. Run free angel

oh im so sorry... Clarkey co ord was telling me about this breed and said she wouldn't of gone far.Just so sad to hear this. Run free dear Lola...my thoughts are with Lola's family.Xxx

I was going to track Lola tomorrow but sadly just had a call from owner to say she had been found in a neighbours swimming pool. Run free over rainbow bridge little angel.

Tuesday 3.20pm. I have spoken to the owner and have circulated the information via Bernese resources and advised other local agencies such as Dog training clubs and riding stables etc be alerted. The missing bitch Lola is friendly but may be cautious of strangers but she does live with a Jack Russell bitch so may confidently approach other dogs. Jude at Bernese Welfare UK Tel 01787 371940

Sorry to see this dog is missing. I live in West Chiltington, RH20, so will keep a look out. Is there any more information about where the dog went missing or usual places it frequents?
