- Other Info Bruno was taken by an rspca officer to Medivet in Enfield and then to the South Essex Wildlife Hospital where we picked him up yesterday morning - thank you everyone! He was microchipped but the rspca officer's reader didn't pick that up. However the lady from South Essex Wildlife Hospital checked on this site and saw him and rang his owners to let them know he was found. He went for a proper vet check-up yesterday afternoon and had several x-rays which showed fractures, he also had a cut foot w

- We would like to particularly thank the rspca officer who drove Bruno all the way to Essex late Friday night, after taking him to the vet and ringing round everyone she could think of! That was really kind - he was well looked after by the lovely lady at the wildlife hospital, who has to care for some terrible injuries to wildlife, mainly caused by careless human beings!

- Hooray - Bruno was found and is now reunited with his very very relieved owners! Thank you to everyone who looked out for him, and for the anonynous angel who actually found him and managed to pick him up and (I think) contacted the RSPCA. Although he was chipped the RSPCA officer didn't pick it up on her scanner for some reason and he was driven all the way from Enfield out to the South East Wildlife rescue centre in Essex. Thanks to them for taking him in and spotting him on this site - and thanks to this site for doing such a great job of reuniting owners and pets. I do think it's a miracle he was found so quickly and we are all mightily glad and thankful to everyone and everything. He does have some fractured ribs and a cut to his foot so will be living in a crate for the next few weeks, taking things easy. He has done wonderfully well for such a little dog and we have all been touched by the concern and care shown by many along the way as posters were given out and his story told in the search. Phew! If the person who found him could contact Antonia and Antony, they would love to be able to say thank you properly.
I so hope others reading this are given hope that their dogs can be found and returned safely. But it is also a lesson that you can't be too careful in checking harnesses fit properly, and a phone number/name tag would have made this all much easier for everyone involved - don't say 'I'll get round to it sometime' do it today! :) Thanks again everyone and do get in touch, mystery rescuer! - 2013-06-29 14:04 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

- Bruno (or a little dog very like him!) has been spotted by people heading for Waltham Cross. He was taken on the 121 bus to Enfield Highland Village on his way out yesterday, so I wonder if he's remembering the route he came and trying to get back home? anyway, there is hope. Bless Bruno, he is a bit nervous of people he doesn't know and at the moment must be very frightened and cold! Thank you for any help you can give us getting him back home.

- Antonia and Antony, Bruno's owners, and their friends are out looking for him now. I'd like to say thank you to the very helpful couple in The Plough last night, who looked up some phone numbers and websites for us and especially the man (sorry didn't get your name!) we met later who went out walking his dogs and said he would be on the lookout for Bruno. It helps to know other dog lovers understand and care! Thank you very much. Bruno please find someone so we can come and get you! We miss you.
