- Have you checked the garden thoroughly, is there any chance that the catch on the hutch was not properly closed, came open when one of them moved against it and they have fallen out and are in hiding close by.
Don't know if you have any children, but I remember when my kids were young they or there friends would open the hutch to pet the bunnies, and not secure the catch properly....very easily done,
Otherwise who do you know that might have known they were there, have this feeling they are not far away.
