I'm so thrilled to hear you have your boy back. I live in Welwyn Garden and saw the Dog Lost posters up in the area. I also have a whippet, so I really felt your pain and despair. It is a real worry that this kind of thing is going on.

Fantastic news and such a wonderful Birthday present for your wife. Well done Kimmybear and Sue great work. Lovely lady who found him and managed to get him to safety to get checked and even better due to owners having Diesel chipped, he was reunited quickly. stay safe now lovely boy x

Yesssssssssssssss!!! After appearing in Countryman's Weekly he crops up. This is excellent, excellent news!!!! The thieves let him go and thanks to a kind person, he has got home. Well done. I am soooo happy! This, yet again, proves you must never give up hope. Look how far they took Diesel and thank goodness he had a chip! I am so happy, happy, happy for you all! WOW.WE GOT OUR DIESEL BACK VIA A PHONE CALL FROM A VET IN BIGGLESWADE USING THE CHIP ON OUR DOG..A LADY MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC HAD FOUND HIM STARVING AND RUNNING AROUND LOOSE.COINCIDENSLY IT WAS ALSO MY WIFE'S BIRTHDAY TODAY 7 AUGUST !!! thanks to everyone who helped..great job...

If you are interested, we are forming a group to have a meeting with police officers covering the south east to highlight the fact that dog theft in our area is a problem. Did you get a crime number from police, Diesel's owner? You really need this as they will investigate also. Did you call the chip company so he flags up as stolen/missing if scanned? x

Hi I will do!!!ive had that boy since 12 weeks old, he will be four years old in October..my daughter is one year and three days older then diesel!!she wants to know when he will be home!we all miss him,its not the same without him.its so sad...we will spend the weekend in wgc to post and look/ask.hopefully we will have some luck...will keep you updated...

Okay owner, please do as I said in my email. You really need to make Diesel way too hot to handle. If someone took his collar off, they would have put another on, or a rope lead. I would also suggest getting word out to Ware even though it is in opposite direction, just in case. But, I really think you need to focus on WGC right now. Someone would have seen something - they just need to remember it. Poster, poster, poster! Call the newspapers like I said - this is story as his collar was found a few miles away from home. And the police! PLEASE do it all as this is how you get Diesel home. We are all sharing Diesel's details all over. Come on baby, keep safe. xxx

Thank you all for your comments...we got diesel a new collar last week which is black and not the one in picture.if he has lost his collar it would be very hard to keep hold of him as he jumps my five foot fence!!!is he running free or is he tied up somewhere????

Like most areas there are pubs in WGC and Stevenage
that it could well be worth postering, he could be sold on
from one of these. Not near enough to know the 'best' ones
to target, maybe other helpers could advise. Good luck.

Welwyn Garden City is a fair way from Stansted Abbots, as far as dog running goes, so I really do think someone took him there. I suggest you poster St Abbts, Hertford, Welwyn, Welwyn Gdn City & the villages along the way. Please can everyone share this little fur babe, everywhere! Thank you. x

I think owner needs to speak to police as I don't think collar came off by itself in a housing estate - it may have been discarded by someone wanting to keep this sweet little boy. Suggest police are contacted and a crime number give to owner. Owner, I'm going to email you again. I want you to try and flood the area with posters! We can get him back - we just need to go all out on this. Helpers, please can we make this baby too to handle. Thank you. xxx
