I was over the moon to receive Owls phone call just now! Have spoken to owners daughter who is obviously delighted and thanks DogLost. Sam is a little thin but otherwise fine!

I am delighted to say that Sam has been found safe and well. He had wandered down to some fishing lakes, where some kind fishermen took care of him all day. This evening they made their way to the pub with him and saw a poster.

So worried for Sam. Please keep checking all used/unused stables, barns, sheds in that area. Hope he is found very soon. Thinking of him and his poor owner. Come on Sam lift your head so you can be seen x

Not yet Barney 'n' Ozzies mum. Owners daughter and neighbours searched again in the area last night and checked undergrowth. The farmer has given them permission to walk along tractor lines but crops so high they cannot see far.

Hope he found soon. Will Sam respond to a Gun whistle maybe worth trying if not already do so. Will pray for his safe return. I am only about 3 miles away and will keep an eye open .

Owners family doing all the right things. It may be Sam has got disorientated in the crops and come out the wrong end or is confused and lying low.

Have spoken to owners daughter this morning. She has sent me a picture which I will get on as soon as possible.
Given general advice and am emailing contact sheets and advice sheets.
Sam wandered into the crop fields next to the property which is in the area behind the school playing fields.

Thanks for all your help on this Sharon. As you rightly point out if we need a picture to allow us to get alerts out we must be very careful with our choice of a picture of a similar dog so as to not confuse people.

Spoken to Sharon at Rugby Pawprints and tried to ring owner but no answer
Sams owner is elderly with no Internet so we cannot get a picture but Sam is black and white and greying due to his age. DW is aware and I will try to notify everyone I can think of. Anyone who can help with posters would be appreciated.
Will add to DogLost Leicestershire Facebook and other relevant local sites.
