Well done Anna, owner for being so pro-active, police etc etc.....and to "buyer" for selling her back. Don't know what the truth is ( story sounds genuine, though) but if only people who buy dogs under odd circumstances took them to the vet to be scanned Leia would have been home sooner. xxx

Great news weloveleia,so pleased for you. Glad to see Leia is back where she belongs...with a family that cares.

The Law needs to be tough on the lowlifes that pinch dogs from their owners.....these dogs are not just pets but are also part of the family.

Anna Noice if totton in southampton kindly offered to help look for my baby. She came upon my Leia with the male in the CCTV. She paid him back what he paid for her. She is my hero and I will be forever in her debt!! Leia sends big kisses and hugs to everybody that helped :))) thank you so so much xxxxxxxxx

Don't understand.....why is everything on hold until the story is published in the Echo on Tuesday? Leia is microchipped so what more proof of ownership is required?
What if this lowlife is reading what is written on this Doglost site or nothing is done until the Echo is out on Tuesday....lowlife reads the paper and sales the puppy on, it's then back to square one.
What are the Police waiting for?.....am I missing a trick here?
At the end of the day I pray it all works out fine and Leia is back in her real home very soon.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!! DESCRIPTION OF WANTED MALE!! Just back from checking CCTV. Confirmed it is MY BABY LEIA!! The police have advised me to not publish his picture yet until after the story in the Echo on Tuesday. I can describe him. He is approx 5"10. Approx aged late 40s early 50s. Bald but with short stubbly grey hair on back of head. He has a tattoo on the back of his right leg. Well built with a slight tummy. He was wearing a yellow polo neck T-shirt with cream/brown knee length shirts and dark trainers. Was also wearing black sunglasses. PLEASE SHARE This description wherever you can! I know you have been posting in lots other groups do please share with as many as possible. HELP get Leia home!!! Xx

UPDATE!!!! spoke to hampshire police this morning and they are allowing me to view the CCTV in the Premier shop, bitterne triangle. They are running a story In Southamptons Daily Echo newspaper on Tuesday!! Please keep an eye for my little girl!! GET LEIA HOME! hopefully the guy will come forward xx

Expect you have already done this, but have you given all the vets in your area and also the bittern and surrounding areas a poster. If the "new owner" lives locally they may well take her to the vets for a checkup vacs etc as they have just got her.

Have emailed owner again with some advice on what to ask police and to ensure police give permission for any circulation of description / photo of the alleged person.

Thanks kelsey79. Were going back over thier later to walk Chi Chi. My friend shown him the missing poster to show that its my dog and he scattered out of thier pretty sharpish. My friend said that its definitely my dog and im putting all my faith that it is. The shop owner seemed to be pretty sure its the same too. They know who the man is but i think they just want to keep out of it, its not easy if you think your getting someone in trouble. Hopefully he'll realise that shes missed desperately and he needs to give her back! Xx

If he's a regular and premier have put a poster up the guy is bound to see it, lets hope he is honest and hands her back to you soon. I'm not far from Bitterne Park, if he's local he will be using riverside as most people do fingers crossed your nightmare is over soon.

Bald head. She was on a pink lead. Went into the bitterne park pub and they were so helpful. Even did photocopies and said they will definitely help look for het. Police have been contacted and have app with them tomorrow. Been to shop and going back to have a look at CCTV. The guy serving in shop did day it was the same dog! Posters are up in local shops around bitterne triangle. He is a regular in there. We're just handing out leaflets around riverside park! Wish me luck!! Xx

SIGHTING ALERT!!!!: friend called me she saw a bloke with her on a lead in Premier shop in Bitterne triangle!! She was on a pink lead and the bloke called her Susie. My friend spotted her straight away and asked questions. He's bought her from Shirley only a day ago!! Please share this. Someone has got her! Xx

We got lots of a4 posters and a5 leaflets to post out in peoples letter boxes. Ive been meeting a lot of dog walkers along the way and spreading the word so fingers crossed someone will know something and come forward.

its been an exhausting day driving around kennels etc and calling everyone, as well as walking wither Leias sister "ChiChi" - thought it might be good for smell etc.

Tomorrow im going to hit all the local parks and supermarkets. As well as posting on card in car park.

feel useless at the moment but guess I have to sit and eat.

Hello, just an update on activity. visited all rescue homes. Called all vets. posters are in local shops and pubs. I have just had hundreds of flyers made to do some letter box dropping just incase she is in someones garden or shed etc. Desperately trying to find her! Micro-chipping company have done a 30 mile email alert too. Fingers crossed some news soon!! thanks everybody xx

I have emailed some advice and info sheets but can see from the FB postings the owner has been very active. Have said to maybe do house to house leflet drops, ask radio / online news papers to mention her.
Have stressed that if the garden was locked maybe log her as stolen not missing.

hello. Please help. She vanished from my back garden yesterday evening. she is soft coated and short legged. All local vets, recue homes and dog warden have been notified. Ive put out posters and allover social media websites. Is there anything else i can do - any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you, Michelle
