anniebags no Tiger Lily has never been found although occasional sightings of similar dog in the area back early last year. Have you seen this dog since if you do get any sightings please let us know this was very close to where she went missing.Thank you so much for still keeping an eye out for her. Was this girl ever found? I was walking on Trelavour Downs this evening at 8.10 pm and a large frightened and quite lean looking dog wearing a collar, perhaps with a bell or something jingling on it, ran past us. She was very frightened and in spite of me calling to her she ran away towards Whitemoor. She was a large range looking girl and looked as if she could be a collie x lurcher type.
Unknown
Paws xd that she will soon be found.

Similar looking dog found near Boconnoc Estate, Cornwall, PL22 and added to DOGLOST CORNWALL facebook page on 29/11/15. Email sent to owner asking to check.

Where have you got to Tiger Lily?
DogLostGeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland
A long shot but on 14th October 2015:

Roseanne Simpson asked a question in Please look out for these missing dogs in Cornwall..... facebook group:

"Is anyone missing a large-ish mainly white/light dog in the Cambrose/Mawla area? Spotted one across a couple of fields, then later in my neighbours yard, but I wasn't on foot so couldn't investigate. English setter type of dog (ish). Will keep my eyes open to see if it reappears. Haven't seen it around before, so just wondering."

I have added the link to this page as a comment to the above post.

(Also emailed owner - read & acknowledged 2015-10-15).Last edited: 2015-10-15 08:58:15 by GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland

Is there any way Found ID 69335 could be Tiger Lily, Found Pl24.PL 24 St Austell is only 6 miles from Par the last sighting. Have spoken to owner who will investigate. Hope it's Tiger Lily , she has been out on her own a long time.Last edited: 2014-05-24 18:56:01 by Me N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer

Just a thought but if you put Par, Cornwall into Facebook it comes up with five separate businesses who are on FB. Would it be 'rude' for the owner to contact them via facebook and ask them to keep an eye out? One is a beauty salon and one a fitness /recreation place and another is the 'beach' shop. As I say, just a thought :(

I don't think it is Tiger Lily Kinsally, but have passed on for the owner to check just in case.
I'm hoping the weather will improve soon so she will be seen out and about on her travels.
Unknown
Hope she is caught soon. No trap set then yet of course?
Kinsally
Poor Tiger Lily I often check her page for any news. There is a very pretty rescue dog called Zoey up for adoption on dogsblog.com she is at Safe Rescue & to me looks very much like Tiger Lily. I don't suppose it's worth just checking just in case she has been picked up http://www.dogsblog.com/zoey-4/

Was hoping there would be further sightings or info :(
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
I have just changed the wording on the poster to include 'do not try to catch her'
Trisha, we will be using a trap once we have established a regular place Tiger Lily is returning to, and where the trap can be manned 24/7
Trisha
Have you tried using a dog trap? It's unlikely she'd even go to someone she knows or to her owner if she's gone feral. Last edited: 2014-01-27 10:39:46 by Trisha

Thanks for that advice Celia we will contact them brilliant idea x

Guys we have been looking for Tiger Lily since 4th July we have been out day and night hour after hour. Her owner is disabled and struggles to walk she has spent many nights camped out in her car at the ready for a sighting. She IS out there right now and has been all day. The fact we put a stake out next week is that will be when we will be there on the night before bin day to see if we can catch
her rummaging in the bins. We are finding that people are seeing her and in excitement trying to catch her and this is scaring her because she will now be feral and very scared IF you are in that area and see her please call us straight away and we will get there 01726 860 242 or 07891 315 687 so Thanks for all your continued support we are doing all we possibly can to get her found and home xx
Spindle
Carol, I was thinking that too. the dog wont wait for people. Can someone local start feeding it regularly at same time same place?
Carol
Great news but am puzzled why waiting till next week , I would be there today with my sleeping bag till I saw her lol xxxx
Celia
Have you told the drivers of the milk lorries they are so happy to help and sighted our two dogs in a field which we then got back. Phone up Dairy Crest, Trewithen Dairy and St. Pirran Dairy in Lostwithiel etc. - ask them to look over the hedges - email a photo of her to them.

Tiger Lily has been sighted again in St Austel by Capital Bingo on Wednesday morning at 8am and again on Thursday morning at 7. 40am. Gill gas not been able to get there in time but stake out is being planned for next week if anyone is in that area at that time in the morning please look out for her but DO NOT CHASE HER SHE IS NOW TERRIFIED after someone apparently ran after her

I have renewed a poster of Tiger-Lily at the surfers car park in Perran dunes where a lot of dog walkers park too, it should last a while, as it was a laminated one that someone passed on to me.
Seeks
I Just had to text as the printer jammed but have asked if you have some posters and will do over that way as well. I did Pup's first and have 100 or more so we can do Lily Stanless way through and do Pup at the same time x

I was woken up by a noise outside in the middle of last night, I went downstairs to check what might be happening and in the field at the back of my house, looking out of my window, in the moonlight I could make out a shape, clearly an animal but it appeared too white in the moonlight to be a fox and it also seemed bigger/taller than a fox, I sadly couldn't make it out clearly, it was too dark but I did think of Tiger-Lily, mostly because of its colour in the moonlight. It was a pretty quick runner judging by how fast it ran off after finishing whatever it was doing. I appreciate this may of course be a very long shot and I could be totally mistaken but I thought it was worth a share. This was in the first field siding on to Telephone Lane in Stenalees.

Another possible sightings of Tiger at Goonamarth Farm near Stanalees, which is not too far from where she went missing. This is very probable and the outbuildings need to be looked at for places she may have bedded down. bumped again. Come on Tiger Lily. It's time to go home now

Copied from facebook page:
we've have a phone call today from a lady taxi driver, she was talking to a customer about Tiger-Lily and the passenger was quite sure that he has seen Tiger-Lily in the Bethel area in the last week. This is really good news for us as even though it was a week ago, it is still our most recent sighting, hopefully it says that Tiger-Lily is still in the same area. Please keep look out guys, hopefully we'll have another sighting soon

There is someone with a beagle who often walks Landrew and up towards the top roundabout. I wonder if it was theirs?

Had a good look around and didn't see anyone but I guess it could be Tiger but there is a beagle in that area for sure. Maybe it was that one though.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
There is a young beagle cross running around st.austell last seen running on carclaze road running infront of both cars and vans. Then again around Landrew at Bethel. X posting from a Facebook group. The person is a helper for the owner:

Tiger-Lily is still missing. We have had two phone calls in the last week with possible sightings. One person thinks they may have seen Tiger-Lily in Stenalees and another thinks they saw her on a beach in Mevagissy. We've postered Pentewen and spoken to some of the people there and have also put up some posters in Mevagissy. If anyone has any friends in these areas please ask them to add us and keep an eye out for Tiger-Lily.
We are trying to arrange a search party for this weekend but to be honest we don't know where to look. We really need a positive sighting of her to know where we need to look. If anyone has any ideas, please share them. We are from Padstow area and I'd never even been to Mevagissy until the weekend. We don't know where to look or where to ask people to look for us. If anyone has any idea's please suggest them...thank you

Possible sighting of similar looking dog on Friday and again this Monday near Tulip meat factory Bugle. This is almost directly across the clay pits to where the search was held on Monday so if we looked in that direction we may well have seen her Please please keeep your eyes open and if you see anything DO NOT attempt to catch her, but ring Gill on 01841520358 or 07967608981and we will get out there straight away. No luck on the search yesterday but it's another large area covered. Trying to get fire service and /or abseilers to check out a steep pit where Tiger was seen to go over.
DogLostFergal - Area Volunteer - Cornwall
St Mawgan would be good, and I think any area right up to St Merryn where she lives. Anybody in the postcode areas up to Newquay and the north coast and countryside in between who could print off a poster and place it where it might get the most attention will hopefully bring in that much needed sighting. Always possible someone has her thinking she's a stray and giving her lots of love, while her owner is suffering so much and simply wants word she's safe. I have seen quite a lot of people looking at the poster in my car window, Travelling posters are good too:)

So sorry I could not help with the search. I do hope it brings some success. keeping fingers crossed.
DogLostFergal - Area Volunteer - Cornwall
Shereen, I am not certain of the dates but most sightings have been just possibles. The St Eval sighting would have her way out of the area and the one at Nanpean could well have been a different dog out with its owners. The most positive one I believe was early on when she was seen entering bushes near where she went missing, and another at Greensplat a day or so later. From the other reported sightings, it is hoped that a triangle could be emerging. There are local helpers also searching Goss Moor today. A positive sighting is what is needed now and photos would be helpful here (keep phones at the ready). I don't really know the area but it seems there are lots of local names for pits and downs as well as town/villages etc. so it is confusing. Hopefully today's broadcast on Radio Cornwall will swell the numbers, then several groups can be organised in various directions (Mopsy is already out putting up direction posters to the meeting place at Littlejohns Pits and will stay on scene to co-ordinate with the owner and friends). Moogie it will be great to meet up with you at last. Hoping for the best. x

winniepig
Thanks Owl for your useful advice :) Been up there all day but she was not coming out to play today. Will be back up there tomorrow. Come on Tiger Lily give yourself up xx
DogLostOwl
Mopsy, any trap which is put up has to be padlocked to something immovable and also watched round the clock. These traps are a prime target for theft. You need to get Tiger Lily taking food in one place regularly before trapping is going to work. Best bait we have found is pilchards/sardines and garlic chicken. And cover the floor of trap with straw or something, or her blanket, as dogs don't like walking on mesh.
Crazygingerbiscuit
If anyone has access to facebook I've uploaded a map with the details of sightings...facebook/tiger-lily missin (yes, I forgot the g in missing)
Also, Tiger-Lily was in the local paper this week so that might generate a few more sightings too

Hi You could try a local rescue centre or kennels, as I would think they will have them surely? Come on now Tiger Lily your wanted back home. Paws, and fingers xd.

My trap is out at the moment but I think that K9 crusaders may have one. If not try the dog warden, RSPCA. Failing that plenty of farmers or huntsmen have fox traps that maybe you could borrow.
Just an idea but how about trying to get a large search party together giving each of them a photocopy of a map and an area to search.
winniepig
Can anyone suggest where I can get a few traps from to try and catch her now she has been sighted will also contact K9 Thanks

Have left a description with Clifton Villa Vets (Newquay & St Column), and emailed a poster link to Penmellyn Vets (St Column & St Merryn) just in case TL is moving towards home. Also Tourist Info and Crealy Adventure Park Wadebridge were happy to take posters. And St Francis Dog Home Newquay - (where the lady knew about TL as her husband is the DW at St Austell - small world) so now she has a poster as well. Keeping fingers crossed for another sighting xLast edited: 2013-07-19 17:53:13 by Fergal - Area Volunteer - Cornwall

Spent 4 hours with Rosie (trainee Sniffer dog) but unfortunately no sightings. It might now be worth moving to the next Clay pits near to St Dennis in case she is on the move again. Have postered St Dennis and the start of the Goss moor trail.

Quick update. Owner met with very helpful lady with trainee sniffer dog today, went to yesterday's sighting place and no sightings. No one has reported seeing Tiger-Lily today. If any-one has any info on sightings please make contact. If anyone can spread the word in area's like St Dennis/Nanpean/Foxhole again we would be really grateful, likewise if anyone is able to help with some posters in this area we would really appreciate this too. Thank you

Can the owner and helpers go out searching/ walking the area with dogs as it seems that she's relaxed around other dogs rather than people.
Crazygingerbiscuit
Mopsy if you can put up anymore posters we'd be really grateful, especially nanpean/st Dennis/foxhole areas. Owner will be back in area searching Tom but she didn't come out for bbqthis eve. If you are able to take your trainee sniffer dog tomorrow please contact gill (owner) and she will bring something that smells of tiger lily, thank you very much

Pretty definite sighting today at 3.30 at Nanpean so she is still in the area and near a good water supply. Owner is there now having a BBQ and taken her duvet down which is the owners strongest scent. Fingers crossed this girl is found soon

Is there any chance you know someone with a very calm dog you can go out to the area with.?Maybe she would feel more at ease and be easier to get hold of.

An update for everyone, we still haven't had any reported sightings of Tiger-Lily since Sat eve 6/7/13.
I did hear a rumour of a found dog in St Austell and will call the dog warden again Monday morning to ask if they've heard anything. There are now some posters in the St Austell area, as well as more in the area where Tiger-Lily was last seen, and in other areas such as Bugle, Victoria, Nanpean. If anyone is able to put any more posters up, in any area's we would really appreciate it. Tiger-Lily can walk for a long time, and in a week, she could have made it to a totally new area now and if people are able to put any posters up in their local shops and pubs etc we would be really grateful.
I will keep everyone posted if we do have any news at all and in the mean time, if any one sees Tiger-Lily, please can they let us know, thank you.

Hi this is a message for Lindsey who left a message on my answer machine about the dog warden contact numbers. Thank you very much for contacting me and letting me know. I tried to return your call but I pressed delete instead of call! And your number didn't show up on phone either. Thank you :)

Come on Tiger Lily, show yourself. You need to go home now
Crazygingerbiscuit
We had a sighting of Tiger-Lily on Saturday 6/7 at 8:30 pm, nothing since then despite extensive searching and sitting/watching/waiting. Please can everyone continue to look out for her and report any sightings, thank you everyone for help so far

Bless, hope she is home soon. Bet the carer is beating herself up for letting her off lead!

Went out early this morning posted at the Imery Clay pits, postered Roche Social club and Rock Inn pub, spoke to local farmers to keep eyes open too.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Spoken to owner who explained that Tiger Lily went missing after she dropped her off with a lady who was going to look after her for when she goes away in September. It was a trial run and the lady took Tiger Lily and several other dogs for a walk. Everything was fine until she let her off the lead and Tiger Lily shot off. There has been one sighting of her. I have sent advice on things to do.
Tiger Lily is a rescue dog from Thailand meat trade so is very timid and was just starting to settle down with the owner.

Sorry to see that TIGER LILY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.

  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
