Has There Been Any Word Back From MDH?
R.
My Driving Instructor Rang Me Sayin His Daughter Found A Jack Russell... I'd Looked At The Picture, But Sadly It Wasn't My Little Lad. :'(

Nice Of Him To Let Me Know Though.Last edited: 2013-08-02 10:48:31 by R.

Majorjet, I phoned the vets, who could not give any more info then we already had, she gave me a city council number which I phoned and they said he was at manchester dogs home and gave me their number, I spoke to two different people over two days at MDH and got nowhere.

Can people please read the threads on both dogs as the whole (non) progress so far is in themLast edited: 2013-08-01 15:04:40 by Nora

I'm Not Sure If Anyone's Asked. I Asked For A Picture To Be Put Up But Yet To Do So.

Has anyone been in touch with the finder and asked them to check the photo of the missing boy? They maybe able to eliminate whether there is a possible match. It may have already been done. x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
'R' I've emailed your missing boy's photo and details to MDH, RSPCA's and kennels across the North. Also shared details and photo on facebook which includes Manchester & Cheshire Dog's Home and RSPCA's.

I have emailed you a copy of the email sent out.

Thank you for everyone who has started sharing the details I've put on fb. x
R.
Thank You Nora! Exactly My Point!

Some People Obviously Don't Seem To Listen Though!

I Wasn't Askin Them To Check EVERY SINGLE Kennel, Just The Ones That Had Jack Russells In Them.

Crying Out Loud, Some People Are Hard Work!!!
Nora
And the No was nothing to do with time, it was because, and I quote "we don't work like that" also they don't need to search through 500 dogs, their office staff are just that, and they have separate kennel staff for the kennels, they would have (or should have) search parameters on their system, ie date found, breed, gender etc, so they can find a dog quickly Last edited: 2013-07-29 12:53:38 by Nora

jackalee (Kathryn) I don't think any one is expecting them to keep up to date with the dogs on Doglost, this is not the issue at all, far from it.
If you were to read the thread on Dog lost ID 53241 you will have a clearer idea.

I was the one that spoke to MDH about R's stolen JR no 53241, I had managed to trace the above dog to them, all they were asked to do was check the ref no 53241 to see if it might be the one they had recently had in, I know how busy they are, so all I asked for was could she kindly take a note of the ref, and perhaps pass it to someone who might be able to check, if they got the chance
They knew exactly which dog that they had, that I was talking about, fully understood the circumstances, and why I was ringing, she could have just said, ok, although i can't promise anything as we are so busy, but I will try....rather than a abrupt uncompromising NO

Pete ( your a star) the dog, warden for Guildford.....who is obviously a lovely kind man, Took him less Than two minutes to check and get back to me, and he left a message for R.

What I'm Sayin Is That Surely They Could Take 2 Minutes Of Their Time To Take A Look On This Stie At The Dogs Referances We've Given, Then Go 'Roud The Kennels & Take A Look.

Isn't Har To Click A Few Buttons On A Computer & Look At A Dog.

I'd Want To Take A Look Just Incase It Was A Dog In The Kennels, Then It Could Be Reunited With It's Owner.

2 mins to search over 500 dogs? If you had the correct reference number you may stand a chance but unfortunately you only have our reference.
R.
Myself & A Few Others Politely Asked Them To Take A Look On This Site With The Dog I.D's Required, But Haven't Heard Anything Back.

It Takes 2 Minutes To Take A Look At A Dog!

The Animal Wardens (www.animalwarden.co.uk) are a private company who have the contract with most councils in the area to provide an out of hours warden service, they are not Manchester Dogs Home.
DogLostJackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
Manchester Dogs Home have over 500 dogs in at any one time. They have around 25 to 30 strays taken in every day by members of the public and dog wardens. It is impossible for them to post and keep updated this many dogs. It can be very difficult searching for a dog by a description over the phone and therefore have a policy that you must visit and view the dog if you want to be absolutely sure, an owner knows their dog better than anyone else.

The reference 53241 is our reference and will mean nothing to MDH. You will need to quote the dog warden reference to pin point the dog you are enquiring about.

I Know!

I Asked Them To Put On Up On The 15th... Still Nothing. :/.
Nora
It would be a great help if they put a photo of this dog up
R.
I Also Checked & Saw Nothing. :(
Nora
They only have the ones ready for adoption on it, I looked through to see if they had a jack Russell photo but they didn't
R.
Do You Know If They Have A Site With The Dog That Are Currently In The Kennels On?
Nora
Cross referenced with ID 53241

Staff cannot give me anymore info, they insist that someone has to go and see him, is there anyone near to Manchester dogs home m9 5 PG that can help here
R.
I Hope, Hope, Hope It's My Little Lad! :)

& Yeah, I've Already Put Him On That One.
Nora
Currently residing at Manchester dogs home, they are going to have a look at 53241 to see if there is a match.......fingers and paws crossed R xx

Yes that is the site, it is nationwide.Last edited: 2013-07-22 15:21:53 by Nora

Nora
Couldn't find him on there R but I got through on the phone, they have given me another no, rung them and they have given me the Manchester dogs home number so trying to get through to them now lol
Might be a good idea for you to register your boy on the site, it covers all areas, may be a good one to keep your eye on
