Yes after just missing Meg on several occasions and after last nights sighting just after owner left to go home, I persuaded her to stay, be patient and the wait would be worth it - it sure was. At 5 this morning she saw Meg in churchyard by car park and at 5.30 was on her way home. Well done owner. They are now both asleep in bed. Her pads were very saw and she was thin and thirsty but otherwise appeared ok. So pleased for her.

Owner waited in churchyard all night, saw Meg at 5 this morning, followed JB's advice on what to do, and has just caught her. Meg is ok but very thin and thirsty. Last edited: 2013-07-17 06:00:40 by Owl

There were two sightings of Meg yesterday and both tied in with where Tiga tracked today. Many thanks to the guy that called the owner - very much appreciated. Come on Meg your family are looking for you please go to them.

Poor Meg, sounds like getting close to catching her. Her owner soft voice and scenting will help. I am keeping it all crossed to see her in the blue very soon.
Tiga
Yes the owners has reported to the police and has got a crime reference number. Not sure if the two guys were trying to 'round up Meg' but she got away and also not sure if she was actually bitten.
I managed to squeeze in 3 hours of tracking with Tiga who picked up a scent and took us into the gardens of a very large house who at the same time was on the phone reporting that Meg had been in her garden Sunday night, from there we went on a circuit through very dense bramble and out onto a footpath and round and back to the church and carpark. We also visited shaded ground next to a house where also the owner had reported her dog barking late at night and wanting to go out. There was a sighting of Meg in the car park yesterday afternoon so it appears she is staying close waiting for the owners. If anyone sees her please do not try to catch but contact the owners immediately as she will not come to people.
I have given the owners some suggestions and they will carry these out over the next few days. Hopefully Meg will soon be home. It was very hot out there and Tiga found it hard in the end to keep going with the scent.

UPDATE on Meg the missing brown/red/white collie. I have just spoken to Meg's owner. Meg is microchipped and is wearing a red and black harness. Two men set their dog on her but she escaped. This happened on Sunday morning 14th July in Coxheath about 5 miles south from Maidstone. She was last seen running from Westerfield Road towards Linton Church which is where her owner had her car parked. The owner's phone number is 07503 356 465 Meg will stay around Linton Church area. Any sightings, please ring owner immediately.

I am led to believe Meg was set upon by 2 other dogs and ran off and hasn't been seen since.
