- Charlie is home. Found in an outbuilding that had already been checked. Strange but excellent news :) Sue and I both think he was made too hot to handle as in this heat with no food or water for 54 hours it seems rather unlikely he would be a happy bouncing bundle of joy ( spaniel or not) and the meeting room was checked - he wasn't there before. Thanks for your help Meggie xLast edited: 2013-07-18 23:49:03 by ESSJ - Area Co-ordinator Rutland

- Hi ESSJ, spoken with Sue. Charlie is entire so may have gone in search of bitch in season. Upper Caldecote folk are aware of Charlie's disappearance. Have suggested local radio and contacting Network Rail. Fencing along the railway line to the East of Manor Farm is poor. There are bridges across the river which he may have used to gain access to Biggleswade Common, a popular dog walking area.

- Hi Meggie. Not sure if you have managed to get hold of sue but the area behind sainsburies, bells brook and the petrol station back sort of onto the area Charlie is missing from. Quite generally if you look at the area behind manor farm fisheries on google maps its an area that stretches back to potton and beyond but there is also the railway and I don't know if it is fenced there. Also if anyone is driving the a1 between Sandy and Biggleswade if they could keep an eye out for him in case he has tried or does try to cross the road to get to upper caldecote and the farms there. He is a fully trained working dog. The farm is a complex of fishing lakes Barnie and Ozzies mum but Charlie isn't keen on swimming or water. His human dad went away on holiday a day before he went missing, I have suggested scenting with an article of his clothing in case he has gone looking for him- he's a one man kind of dog Last edited: 2013-07-18 15:04:34 by ESSJ - Area Co-ordinator Rutland

- I hope they don't have a swimming pool? After the recent tragedies on here, I would advise everyone to check their pools on a regular basis, especially if they have a cover on.

- Spoke at length to owner last night. There is cctv there and she will be looking through it today. Gave advice on who to contact etc though most has already been done. Posters going up today. Lots of the local people are aware. Manor Farm fisheries fronts onto the A1 near the egg farm just before Biggleswade. There are lots of people who come and go and it is very possible that he has been picked up. He disappeared between 12 and 2 after he and owners other dog being let out of his pen because it was so hot to have a wander backwards and forwards to the house and the cool kitchen floor.strangely in spite of there being plenty of people around he seemingly vanished into thin air. All of the containers etc on site have been checked but no sign.Last edited: 2013-07-18 06:58:50 by ESSJ - Area Co-ordinator Rutland
