Thank you for all your comments, unfortunately Fudge has still not been found, although have had several possible sightings which we have followed up but to no avail. We have continued every day to cover her usual hunting ground with our other dog Treacle. Thank you again for your help and support.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Good advice doggie fairy only trouble is the owner does not appear to be reading the site. Those kennels belong to Viv ( remember she lost some of her dogs), will be with her tomorrow evening will remember to ask her to look out for Fudge.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi there. Poor fudge, Just to share a story with you guy's one of hope!! A friend lost her Sheltie in Ashridge for Day's and Day's she went everyday walking, scenting and taking all her other pals along. She asked around in all the little houses dotted in Ashridge and around the area, cold called left leaflets. One day out of the Blue, The phone call arrived, "I think we have seen your dog outside our Garage but it keeps running back into Ashridge" so Mum of Sheltie drove as fast as she could.........It was her little Sheltie, sadly sheltie did not reckonise her!! she had gone back to ferral.......So she did not call the dog, she laid on the floor after some time the sheltie came over to the food next to mum, Yippee a quick grab and then lots of Cuddles. As whippet rightly said she probably is still floating around. Please do go back ask around, there is a kennel within Ashridge that Breeds I believe P.G.Vandeens a good starting place up by thr monument, Let me know if your not sure. Good luck with your search. Keep going back to the place where (early am if you can-- like really crack of dawn), you last saw her and sitting quietly on the floor with your sardines!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

jaspenwood if Fudge was picked up by someone she could be in the Luton area. However my feeling is that she is caught up somewhere in Ashridge although owner has been out looking around her normal run.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Fudge looks a bit of a podgy, if she is down a hole she could reappear in a couple of days when she has slimmed down a bit. Really hope fudge is home soon. Dolly 6.2.05Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You're right ShellyC. My 18 year old miniature dach is still transfixed once he hits a smell and will follow it to the end of the earth. Cocks a deaf ear as wellLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

thats a good idea Sheltiesmum about taking the other dog to sniff around.Just have him on a lead so he doesnt go down as well. That would be a nightmare!!!Our dogs used to get so carried away with a sent they just used to bolt, like I said earlier, two got stuck(at different times), took ages digging them out.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

yes i'm wondering if he's down a rabbit hole. I just caught my cousin's terrier by the tail as he disappeared down a hole. It was a horrible fight to get him out. I cringed. Hope this lovely boy comes home soon. Has the other dog been taken back to the site to have a sniff around? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
