I am very happy to report that Becks is in good health after his adventures. I have just left him and his owners and they are over the moon. Thanks to everyone that has helped search for him. The tip off this morning was great as i managed to locate him very quickly and call his owners with the location. He took a bit of catching but was so glad to be back with people he knows.

I saw them sitting on the grass whilst driving past; Becks had just been caught, it was literally just around the corner from where I live. I didn't know it was Becks at the time until I stopped to see what was going on. There were some very happy faces and a very happy dog. He's lovely.

I have just had a call of helper Cherry to let me know that they have just managed to catch him :)

They did see him but he ran off so Cherry drove a head of him, his owner jumped out of the car and grabbed him.
He seems ok, had a waggy tail, had something to eat and is VERY HAPPY TO HAVE BEEN CAUGHT.

Thank you to EVERYONE who helped in the search for him!! A few people I would like to give a special thanks to is Cherry, Leanne, Mark and Maureen, you have all been fantastic :) Cherry, Leanne and Mark went out looking for him from the start and did a amazing job and were a VERY big help to me and his owners!! So THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!

Im sure they will be taking him to the vets just to make sure everything is ok.

Been all around the are of the sighting today at St Georges School and all the surrounding roads too but nothing seen. I met another chap who has lost his dog on Saturday a Bedlington/ Lurcher cross called TRigger old boy too and he is in the same area so can searchers keep an eye out for him also please. He is on facebook and Hindley Buy and Sell and hopefully put on doglost tonight. He was not aware of this site !. Another girl also lost her dog today near the same school and it was handed in to the local vets so it may be an idea to send across Becks link off doglost to all the local vets in the area just in case he gets handed in. Good luck with search tonight. One thing I did notice is there are no posters anywhere it would be a big help if posters were put up all over the area of sightings they really do work x

Via Susan Ginnever: Been on Becks heels all afternoon he is scared and would not let me near him lost him in Lee bank park Westhoughton not sure if he is heading over fields towards Atherton, had to come home to see to children but really need people out tonight helping if at all possible, he is scared and i think injured and just running and running in this heat.

Latest sighting near St Georges school, Westhoughton, this morning about 12.00ish. This isn't his home area unfortunately. I'm just trying to email a poster to Hart Common Golf which is near the latest sighting. I don't know the area either, relying on Google maps.

I went on google maps satellite and there are two golf clubs close by where Becks is seen and has anyone contacted them and left posters yet? Also where does Becks actually live ? Becks has just been seen This dog is on atherleigh by pass now, heading towards Leigh. owner alerted and his on the way. I have given advise on how to approach him!! Also advised anyone else who sees him!!

Ive solved the problem with the dog in Westhoghton on one post it says it was found in Hindley and on another Westhoughton hence the confusion I thought this was two different dogs .

Walked round Taylor Rd Atherton Rd this morning but sadly no sighting. Have also been down Abby Lane and spoke to a mum from school and given posters out. Hi Dawn, whereabouts was this and was it definitely Becks?? Was the dog wearing a Grey cloth collar? I'm asking due to another dog being found in the area yesterday, female so not Becks but need to double check that wasn't the one you had seen.

Hi im the lady who tried to give a dog a drink but sadly it was very frightened and ran off onto the disused railway line. I did go after it but it was nowhere to be seen. I have been riding round keeping my eyes open but with no success hope he his found very soon .

Drove round taylor rd, launceston rd, atherton rd, abbey lane n abbey lane estate, westleigh rd, onto wigan rd, marshes field and field at back of marshes which is at the back of the asda n sainburys walked these areas

another possible sighting
I saw a similar dog yesterday running down bolton old road atherton towards atherton town centre x

Pasted on to Donna who is out searching with his owner.

Becks owner is camping out tonight in a field nearby to where he's been sighted. I have advised to buy a disposable BBQ, the smell of food might bring him out.

They are all DOING a fantastic job, posters up, people in the areas he's been sighted all aware and have also put bowls of water out for him.

Becks family can't thank everyone enough for everything you are doing to help find him - You are all STARS!! Thank you to everyone from me for sharing, searching, everything you do helps towards him being found :)

Drove round for a couple of hours, asked some people but no sign of him, maybe he is sleeping in the shade somewhere, saw plenty of posters up and met becks owners, hope you find him soon

Hope he's found soon. Have the owners informed the councils animal wardens, they do check for any Tattoo ID or Microchips, but it is still worthwhile letting them know so that he can be taken home sooner if found without the need for them to go to Leigh Dogs and Cats Home.

Sounds like a circular stakeout this evening would be a good plan if you can alert enough people - if he's that wobbly he's nog going to get far. Do you have some of his blankets etc to take to a secure spot? Good luck

Been asked to share this..............Cherry Reed There is a 13 yr old Staffy x called Becks id number 54918. He has been lost since Weds. I spotted him yesterday evening and tried several times to get him in my car but he ran every time I went near him. I contacted his owners and they came out a while later but he had disappeared again Please can somebody go on his thread and say it is definitely him and ask them to send e mails to members further afield. He is lost from - was seen in WN2 and WN7 last night - my brain is frazzled(or he was last night) He is wobbly on his legs, knackered and running scared. For some reason Dog lost wont let me have access to the site . I am awaiting a new password and hae also e mailed admin. Thank you x

Claire Frost Can someone put on Beck's doglost page please that I have been all around Taylor Rd, Pembroke and Launceston this am. I've asked people but no one has seen him and ive left my number with a loveky lady who has offered to ring if she sees him. Ive looked around the Clayhole water park and the scrub opposite Penswick rd. I drove back through centre of Hindley up Market st but there was no sign. I cant put it on myself as it wont accept my password for some reason. As soon as I get chance i'll get some posters out.

Think i saw this dog last night,he had a pic of rope around his neck and was limping.We tried to entice him to come but he just ran away,Leigh road Hindley Green,went over the line towards abbey Lane way. She also said 2 women were trying to get him to have a drink she doesn't know if they got him x

Becks has still not been found was belived to have been seen in the Taylor Rd and Pembroke Rd and Launceston Rd Area of hindley Green if you know any one in that area PLEASE can you ask them to carefully check their gardens and leave some water out pls. He is 13 yrs old and will be very scared and dehydrated by now . Many Thanks xx

hi someone has just phoned me saying about 10-15mins ago he was sighted dehydrated and nervous on taylor rd, hindley green. he was spotted coming from atherton rd and onto taylor rd then going left, perhaps to the park and lake near there. please post this up asap so people can keep an eye out thank you!x

Possible sighting of this dog in Hindley near Holly House Vets. This was yesterday late afternoon. Person who saw him is pretty sure it looked like Becks.
