I have just spoken to the lady who sighted this dog...this was definitely Male and short haired Terrier size...sighter has been away for the weekend but is going to put a bit of food and water in the bushes she saw the dog.

I agree Julie someone needs to help rather than keep saying they have seen it , if it was in my area I would be there with sardines and water xxxx

hi someone has just phoned me saying about 10-15mins ago he was sighted dehydrated and nervous on taylor rd, hindley green. he was spotted coming from atherton rd and onto taylor rd then going left, perhaps to the park and lake near there. please post this up asap so people can keep an eye out thank you!x

does he have a tumour under right front leg? he's called becks with black fur, white under belly & chest & paws. 13yr old staffie/border collie cross. grey material collar but no tags on. please call me on 07516241641 or 07761086665. thank you, hopefull x

Part of email from person who sighted dog.......

On the way from the cash machine i took a short cut through boggart hole clough park near the charlestown pub in blackley, manchester. i stumbled onto a small adult male dog that kept appearing and disappearing into the bushes. he was scared whenever people went past and hid but i showed him i was harmless and he approached me.
he has no collar and his coat is quite dirty. i assumed it belonged to a neighbour and left him. 8 hours later i took the same path and found him again, quite dehydrated i gave him a bottle of water. am concerned this dog is lost or abandoned as he has no collar.
I tried leading the to my yard but eventually disappeared into the park within 10 minutes, he got frightened by something and i dont know what.

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
