Well, 30 days have passed since this dog was first reported as found so she is now legally ours. She will spend the rest of her life with us in a secure loving home. I have tried to upload a new photo but it won't let me so I will email one to doglost and hopefully they will upload it for me. Silver has shown a massive improvement with her weight but still has a little more to gain but I am confident that she will flourish.
Rachel Westbury
liznhar it's not her, but thank you.
Rachel Westbury
sallybee I did see a photo of a white GSD that was missing from the Gainsborough/Blyton area, it was being circulated round Facebook but it's eyes were very different to this one it's not the same dog.
sallybee
There was a female white german shepherd missing from Gainsborough/Blyton area - this could be her. North Lincs police had the information so could be worth checking it out
DogLostMillypod (Chris) - Administrative Volunteer

Rachel you are so kind to care for her and also offering her a loving home in the event that no owners come forward. Xx

Wonderful Rachel and that is a lovely name too - will look forward to seeing a photo after the 30 days has expired. Really glad to hear she is doing very well and settled with you and your other dogs. Well done to you and your kindness to Silver. Julie xx
Rachel Westbury
you are correct, it is 30 days. If I took her to the pound it would only be 7 days for someone to claim her before she could be rehomed or put down but I'd rather she wasn't messed about so she'll stay here. She is doing very well, has really settled here and gets on really well with all our other dogs (most of them were also dumped down our lane over a 6 year period) We are going to call her Silver after a white GSD that belonged to a close family friend many years ago. I will post another photo of her after the 30 days are up so all you lovely people can see her progress.
lesleyjane
Aw, that's great, Rachel. Think you have to wait 30 days til she's yours legally?? What have you called her? x
collieowner
Poor thing. Look forward to another photo showing her looking better. Well done Rachel
mathers22
Hope nobody claims her then Rachel can adopt her. Well done to her. Hope we some photos when she is a bit fatter xx
Tonia
Added to twitter and f/book group although sounds like she has found a lovely home already x
Carol
Rachael you are a true angel she will be very happy with you I just know it xxxxx
AlisonH
Bless you Rachael. She could be from anywhere if she was stolen before being dumped. Really hope she settles in with you.
DogLostJulie - Area Co-ordinator - Surrey & South London
Rachel what a lovely kind person you are this poor girl will be so grateful to you. Julie xx
Rachel Westbury
I have had her scanned for a chip today and she does not have one. I strongly suspect she has been abandoned near us, this has happened many times before with other dogs down our lane. We are happy to give her a loving home if her real owners cannot be traced. She looks much better already for a thorough bath, groom, flea treatment and wormer.
AlisonH
Yes I noticed that. Sorry I have no idea why.
DogLostFergal - Area Volunteer - Cornwall
The photo does not show when posted to FB
mathers22
OMG the poor girl. There's no excuse for this unless, of course, she has been on the run for a long time. Hope it's not due to neglectful owners xx
AlisonH
