- Fergal's Servant - It must be so traumatic loosing your beloved dog I'm sure owners would be glad of any chance of a lead. A dog will become unkempt very quickly in the wrong surroundings and some dogs who have pupped loose a lot of weight so they can look very different to their photos. I just thought the owner would probably know she had been pregnant due to the time span and hadn't mentioned it so maybe a long shot but if it was me I'd be going after any possible sightings. I do hope Mayling is home soon.

- You are quite right Marbie, I did a block posting to several lookalikes in the hope of finding her owner, before her 7 days were up, due to the delay in getting a photo up. It is not likely that she would have deteriorated so much in just a month. I apologise for any distress my postings may have caused. X

- Has your dog had puppies because the 56506 found looks like yours but has had puppies recently, I would have thought before you lost her but definitely worth a look. She is a beautiful little dog very thin and unkempt, looks terrified. Good luck I do hope it is her, would love to see her get back to a loving home.

- Thanks for reporting the chipped dog. Unfortunately it's not Mayling. But I really do appreciate everyone's effort. It's a kind of silent army of people looking that I don't know and can't thank personally but it's very comforting. Jane

- Thanks everyone. We're not sure if this is an opportunist pickup. We'll do any thing to get her back and there is a substantial reward for her safe return. The Royal Welsh is on a the moment and we're going to put posters up there but if anyone is going could you put the word out please? Many thanks, Jane
