- Thanks for the update. So pleased to know that she's doing well.

- Sorry, I've not been back here in a while! She is doing great - we had a cancer scare but it turned out to be fatty tissue. She's slowly gaining weight and is on daily antibiotic jabs which is clearing up the major infection she has. We're taking it day by day at present but if she does get strong enough, she will need a dental. She has a Facebook group if anyone wants to follow her progress :) https://www.facebook.com/groups/196437270522158

- Thanks Sue. She's now called Skye.
She has a bowl of meat and scrambled egg beside her; she's not eaten yet but I think she's sleeping off her exciting day. She's seen the vet, is now on a long course of antibiotics to get the pus nose/mouth situation under control, after which we decide what to tackle next.
Today is probably the best day she's had in a while, even if she doesnt know it yet! - 2013-07-28 19:21 mathers22

- Well done ClazUK. It's good to know that this lovely old girlie is out of kennels now and I hope you can get her health sorted out so that she's at least more comfortable and pain free. Let us know when she has a name and give up an update on how she's doing.

- I went to see her today with the intention of assessing her. She's now sitting in my lounge :-) She's been to my vets; she's in a terrible mess, but we've worked out a gentle plan of treatment, starting with antibiotics for her infected mouth/sinuses. She's safe now, could someone take her off the Found list please, as the person who let her get in this mess is going nowhere near her ever again.

- No idea on collie types, sorry. Had 19 dogs to list here this morning so they were all done quickly. If anyone knows for definite, please update the breed x

- I will also share in some of the groups I belong to as if she hasnt been claimed she will need an urgent rescue space I assume.

- This pound is near me and I've just spoken to them re this old girl. She's female, poor hearing and limited vision, very stiff which sounds like age rather than an injury. She looks like an elderly border collie to me. She's already been there 3 weeks so I seriously doubt she's being looked for. I'm sharing in the hope of finding a foster or rescue place. The girls at the pound know to call me re the oldies if their time runs out but, right now, I have nowhere for her.

- Is it certain the dog is a rough collie as the nose looks quite short, wondered if could be a bearded collie , beardieX or longhaired border collie which has been clipped.Last edited: 2013-07-27 15:02:40 by pixies peeps
