- Try cooking some food which you know Rango cant resist; the aroma may tempt him back. Also pout something with his scent on in the garden (If you can) say a blanket. You could put your scent on too. If Rango has not been neutered it may be that he has gone looking for the ladies. Tom cats that are not neutered will go quite a way to look for a girlfriend. They are moire likely to go for unspayed females, necause they go by the scent. (Mating season) Neutered male cats will only have a territory of about 5/6 average garden spaces, so normally dont wander too far: about half of that for spayed females of which I have two. (Both spayed) Good luckx
