Once I approached the woman I asked if I could look at her dog and she let me. There was no mistaking it was Daisy. She then carried on to say that Daisy had been given to her to look after because Daisys owner was drunk and the dog was being abused. I told her Daisy had been stolen and by this time I'd took Daisys lead and called my husband out of car. The woman said she was on way to police station to hand her in, but what puzzled us was the fact that Daisy still had collar on with owners numbers so could of rung him within the week. Very strange story altogether really. I'm just pleased I found her and that it's one less dog in the hands of the wrong people

I was just thinking the same that it was brave of you to approach this woman Hayley. Luckily Daisy is so easy to recognise. So very reassuring that everyone is so vigilant and it paid off. Very well done Hayley.

Hello Anne, I spotted daisy walking with woman along main road so pulled over to get proper look. It was daisy so I put her in car and she was later reunited with her relieved owner. I was in the right place at the right time.

Many thanks. All vets in Ipswich need posters and the houses in the area. The owner said yesterday CCTV was out of range but its not been checked. I just spoke to store manager and she's checking in the morning then ringing me. Daisy has special diet due to her jaw so owner very worried. She's also spayed.

Given owner advice to poster like crazy and in letterboxs as someone must see the dog with the jaw like that. Also told to do vets as not done and this happened last Thursday. CCTV was out of range. But I know a lot of the Coop Managers so I will talk to the manager in the morning. Also told to do BBC radio Suffolk and local ipswich star paper urgently as not been done.
