I have spoken to a family member about Sam.
He is very scared due to a pigeon scarer going off which made him run away.

They are doing everything they can to find him, they are going to try and see if the local paper will run a story about him.

They have been to the dogs home, got posters up!! even friends have put a poster in their cars.

They have had no sightings of hiLast edited: 2013-08-20 19:55:05 by Maggie

Jean
Have placed adverts in local paper with photos and put up more posters in Sandbach and Brereton where Sam was walked regularly
NickyB
have suggested owners try old fashioned methods e.g ad in lost and found in local papers, and to ask local papers to do story especially with his rspca rescue background

I am in the Elworth area and will do whatever possible to help. I have been out today with my dog and have done the large circle through Elworth by the railway, down to the end of Woods Lane and up the entirety of Bradwall Road then back down Cookesmere Lane to Elworth again. Unfortunately no sightings but will be back out later. If there is any organised search planned I'd be happy to help. Also shared on FB.

I'll get Sam advertised in the Countryman's Weekly magazine asap. I could do with a better photograph though.

Please can Doglost work their magic for this lovely boy, he was rehomed to his lovely owners by our Branch 5 years ago. his first years were hell, spent living in a metal horsebox freezing in winter and boiling in summer, food thrown occasionally. He came to us malnourished and frightened of the world, but the most wonderful temperament and so loving. Come on Sam your Mum and Dad are waiting for you at home show yourself gorgeous xx

Shared Sam again on FB, hope he's reunited asap x
NickyB
have put ad in free paper buy sell covers mid Cheshire and appears in various other papers and some websites. I still use papers to find homes for our rescue dogs as I know lots of people don't use the web.every little helps

Kevin is looking after Sam while his owners were away and are back today
It was while Kevin was walking the dogs on Sunday evening in Bradwall, that a gun shot spooked Sam and he took off. They were very close to catching him but he gave them the slip on a couple of occasions and worryingly hasn't been seen since. Sam lives in Elworth, which is about 3 miles from Bradwall and the neighbours have all been informed and are keeping a careful eye out.

Kevin has informed the local farmers, dog warden, police, vets and kennels. Posters are up in the area

Thank you NickyB for your help

Is it possible to have a picture of Sam please? x
Admin
Sorry to see that SAM is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (55519)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
