From face book .... Dora was caught at 0400 this morning, no details yet but will post when face book is updated. Great news

Update for those not on facebook. Dora was seen this morning between Tesco and the BP garage stretch of the by pass in Formby. Nothing reported since then of a sighting , but some one has kindly lent a trap to see if they can catch her with this method.
Bo
This dog looks very similar to her; although found in Manchester and looks slightly older?

ISN'T DORA LUCKY - SO MANY GOOD PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR HER - JUST LOVELY.

Thanks for posting updates on her story...poor girl, wonder where she has got to. West Lancs Canine Centre have kindly put Dora's DogLost page on their F/B page and twitter. Some of their training classes are in Formby and they have a big following so lots more people aware. Fingers crossed she shows herself soon....from stories on here, sometimes lost frightened dogs hide even more or run away when people call out for them. Its usually the smelly foods which help or traps if we know where a dog was hiding or staying. Just need a few more sightings as she may form a triangle route. Well done on all the hard work, I am keeping a lookout when possible. Wish could do more but work full time.
Has anyone managed to put any posters up especially where she has been seen just incase she returns. They can be printed from this page from "view poster". I'll try to get some up too and am sharing on Facebook xx (Apologies if you have thought of all this )x

HI BO. VERY SWEET OF YOU... IT IS DEEPLY DISHEARTNING - LIKE LOOKING FOR A NEEDLE IN A VAST HEYSTACK... I LOOKED YESTERDAY WITH MY FRIEND SUE TO WHOM DORA WAS SUPPOSED TO GO - THE PROBLEM IS WE DON'T REALLY KNOW WHERE SHE IS - SHE MIGHT HAVE MOVED ALREADY - SHE ALSO IS NOT JUST POTTERING ABOUT - SHE SEEMS TO BE HIDING AND IS NOT RESPONDING TO PEOPLE CALLING OUT... IT WOULD BE GOOD IF SHE WAS SIGHTED CONSISTENTLY IN ONE LOCATION...
Bo
Zee/Kirsty

I've been up there a few days but solo it is a bit disheartening. I am happy to meet up with you both and we can each take an area to search and cover a wider area together. Let me know if that sounds like a plan and I will leave my email address for contact details. Alternately, if we can arrange a get together meeting time and place on this and I will post here to let you know that's fine. L

LONG WALK ALONG THE CHESHIRE LINE AREA EARLIER ON WITH THE LOVELY LADY WHO WAS TO BE DORA'S NEW MUM - LOVELY WALK BUT NO SIGHTINGS... LOTS OF HIDING PLACES FOR A DOG THAT DOES'NT WANT TO BE SEEN... MAYBE SOMEONE OUT THERE WILL SPOT HER!
ZEE.
JUST A LITTLE ADD ON TO THIS SWEET DOG'S FOLLOWERS AND SEARCHERS - DORA IS NOT A LOCAL DOG! SHE DOES NOT AS YET HAVE A 'HOME' HERE - SHE WAS TRAVELLING FROM CHELTENHAM TO MEET HER POTENTIAL NEW MUM AT THE VILLAGE VETS IN FORMBY... THIS IS WHY SHE IS SO DISORIENTETED AND SO HARD TO PREDICT WHERE SHE IS GOING... CROSS FINGERS THO' ZEE.

So pleased Dora has been sighted, am keeping a close lookout for her. She very well could be trying to make her way back. Maybe think of the scenting advice and scenting from Paradise Lane to Brows Lane (?home)to your door. Leaving bedding by your door, your door open if possible....she'll be nervous now of people, so maybe will run away if called so if seen she may come to us or you only by crouching low with tasty treats. Fingers crossed Dora is back home soon xx

Last reported sighting of Dora was 03/08/13. This was at the Southport Rd, Paradise rd area of Formby. She has certainly visited the riding stables at the end of Paradise Rd. Prior to this she was seen on the Formby Bypass until a kind couple manovered their car pushing her away from this very fast and busy road. Thankyou to everyone helping :)
