Assumimg Archie hasnt yet been found - Stray Aid have a number of male patterdale terriers found in various locations - one particular male found Bishop Auckland 18th October reference dog SD264 13 is worth checking out.

Please see new under the found section ref 57306 - this looks like a Patterdale just found - could it be little Archie?
Chloemay
Hi, sorry my number is 07803403568, I gave u my old one on here by mistake. Thank you for the last post. It looked a lot like Archie but ur right it wasn't him. Thanks though, I still have hope!
BBKM
Found male Patterdale on here ID 56596 could be Archie...I have text his owners to take a look. Fingers crossed x
Chloemay
Thanks all. He had a hair cut a few months ago so hair around his face may be slightly shorter. I will put him on the wardens Facebook page, thanks x
oscarbunny
If you have looked on Stray Aid, then it's probably not him. It is hard to tell if its a terrier or not from the picture. If you click on found dogs - it was on there. A black dog with a white mark on chest. Is Archie's fur still the same as on the pics? He hasn't had a haircut has he?
terrierlady
if you havent already done so may be a good idea to put Archie on both Darlington and Middlesborough council dog warden facebook sites.
terrierlady
Stray Aid definitely have him logged as missing becuase i asked when i dropped some bedding off at the weekend. I have a relative who lives in Copley so will ask her to keep a look out for him.
BBKM
Probably best to concentrate on Copley where he has been sighted now that we know the Richmond dog is a Lab. I will have a look on Strayaid x

Don't think the dog on Strayaid link is a Patterdale :(

sorry the link isnt working, but i have looked on the stray aid website and cant see him, please can you try and send it again. I have contated deerness kennels but wil contact stray aid and stray action seperatly, thank you.

yeah the dog in the kennels wasnt archie, my brother went up to check. reall got my hopes up on that one.

sorry i dont know whe my head was at. there were sightings on the 9th and 10th in copley. my grandparents went to look up on the evening of the 10th but couldnt see anything.

my mum went to richman yesturday and asked around, due to the sightings, however people only mentioned a black lab running around. i have asked some people in richmond to keep an eye out and there is a post circulating facebook regarding this.

thanks again
oscarbunny
Is this Archie? http://www.strayaid.org.uk/view-details.php?id=1149
Have you contacted Stray Aid and Stray Action for dogs in Deerness?

BBKM
Thank you Chloe. I take it the dog in the kennels was definitely not Archie? Also I am confused about your dates?? Lol x

Can Archie be bumped due to sightings please.Last edited: 2013-08-13 23:38:47 by BBKM

Hi, I'm not sure of the times but it was Friday 16th and Saturday 17th. There was a patterdale in the kennels there who looked exactly like Archie, but the dog on the loos in Copley must be a different one to the one in the kennels. Yes I can let you know of any sightings I hear. Thanks again. Chloe
BBKM
Hi Chloe, thanks for the update. I have added the sighting of Archie in Copley, do you know the times and date he was seen? I have also removed my contact number and replaced with your mobile. Lets hope we get another positive sighting. Please can you put any updates on this page asap.
Can Archie be bumped please because of sighting and there was some media coverage in the Northern Echo.
Chloemay
Hi, I'm Chloe. My parents numbers are listed above but please can people try and reach me on 07901201568 Aswell as putting information on here. Thank you all so much for your help, I really appreciate it. My mum has been away but it going to drive around Richmond tonight when she gets back. Can u ask people to pick him up if they see him. We have had a few sightings but then we can't find him when we go to the place. One was in Copley, if anyone is passing please keep a look out. We looked there but couldn't find him. I really hope we find him soon, he has bad back legs so it is unlikely he has walked far. More likely that he has been picked up. Thanks everyone for ur help x
BBKM
This is no distance for a dog to have travelled, especially the length of time Archie has been missing. Thanks minigirl, hope you get a response, this could be Archie if he hasn't been picked up and is still out there wandering x
terrierlady
DL9 postcode is Richmond area which is more then 10 miles from Staindrop however if he was stolen and then dumped it may be a possibility.
Minigirl - Area Co-ordinator, West Yorkshire
Tried to phone for an update and to inform of the sighted dog. Text message sent x
BBKM
I have heard nothing from owners???? Wondering if the SIGHTED ONLY dog in DL9 area North Yorkshire in found section ID 56000 may be Archie??
terrierlady
Is there any news on Archie? - Featured in todays Northern Echo and this weeks Teesdale Mercury.
terrierlady
Bazil - maybe worth including DL13 and DL4 as some of the locations in these postcodes are no more than 5 miles from Staindrop.
BBKM
Thanks honeyharvey, I've had a look at the found Patterdale and its not Archie, it is Tan in colour.
Thanks terrierlady, sorry I missed DL14 I do not live in the area so if you think other postcodes need adding can you let us know please.
terrierlady
DL14 area very close to this and i didnt receive any alert - I pass through Staindrop twice a day so will look out for him - if you havent already done so it may be useful to let Raby estate gamekeepers and castle vets know that he is missing.
honeyharvey

There was a possible sighting on the day he went missing near to the area where he went missing from.
Owners and family have been searching for Archie, a sniffer dog has been used but did not pick up a scent. If anyone has seen, found/picked up Archie please contact us asap.
