- The caught dog is definately female. To avoid further confusion I have removed the text that mentions a male dog. If you look down to my post further down this page I have explained why a male dog was mentioned originally.
- 2013-10-10 08:55 AlisonH
- Can we please have a better photo of this dog now and can we clarify the gender as it has been referred to as him and her in the text.
Have lurchers missing in Lincs that I'd like to cross match. - 2013-10-10 08:24 twoDs

- Wonderful news ..... the dog in the photograph has been caught today !!!
Some ladies have been feeding her for sometime and walking miles over fields to find where she was hiding up. When they set up a feeding area a trap was tried but she was very wary of it so the ladies continued to gain her trust by leaving food out for her and going out to where she was. being sighted on farmland and gradually she began to trust them more and more and today they managed to get a lead on her !! Now caught she is a lovely calm dog who seems to be so grateful to be in caring hands . Anyone who thinks she may be their dog will have to contact the number on this page and describe their dog fully. Doglost will be checking through our records for any similar dogs that are missing . A very big well done to the ladies that have devoted so much time and effort to get this lovely dog to safety !
Initially this page was set up for what was thought to be a stray male lurcher and at one time the dog that has been caught today was being sighted with another larger dog which may have been the male lurcher in the initial sighting but sadly that dog hasn't been seen for some time now. - 2013-09-30 11:35 Minigirl - Area Co-ordinator, West Yorkshire
- Thanks Gill- yes we are unsure whether this dog is male or female...latest sightings suggest may be female. Thank you for the match reference but sadly this isn't Rizzle as she is longer haired than the sighted dog

- I've walked all over fields in between havercroft/kinsley and the fields up to ackworth but still not had a sighting of this dog. asked the local farmers to keep a look out as well while harvesting. I've put food and water down but not been touched although could be putting it in wrong place as I dont know exact place where it was seen :( was out at 5.30 this morning looking and will go up again later then will go again tonight with some more food .

- I've been talking to my brother today who has seen a small lurcher type dog white with sandy coloured patches over a week ago going through his rubbish but he lives on hoyle mill lane. I wonder if this is the same dog
- 2013-08-08 22:49 vicky
- I've put some food and water in the field near fitzwilliam bridge thats where the local farmer saw the dog sunday night.

- I've sighted this dog last night at midnight at four lane ends Fitzwilliam heading to wards Ackworth. I stopped the car and tried to catch it but it was terrified and ran off . It's wearing a brown collar but no disc. Very worried about this dog it was close to starvation .

- Hi,I live in kinsley and I've just been for a walk over the fields but no sight of this dog but depending where abouts on newstead lane he was sighted he could be in fitzwillam or havercroft still.
