- Please see Found 56851. This dog was found very dirty and thin at Colliford Lake,nr Bodmin, with a blue collar and black lead still attached. The police did a search of the area, found nothing and have no missing person reports. It was picked up by a kennels (out of hours) from Launceston Police Station, who seem to think it went to RSPCA Longdown (Exeter). I tried RSPCA Little Valley Kennels near Longdown who say they don't take strays. The Dog Warden Devon say Launceston is Cornwall so would not come to Devon. The Cornwall Dog Warden will not give any information, even the sex, of the dog to anyone other than the owner. So the only option is to post this to all Border types lost. PLEASE register as lost with the Dog Wardens (and remember they have it listed as a Border Terrier) for them to release details of where it is. Cornwall DW 0300 1234 212. East Devon DW 0845 241 7253. - Sorry to see there has been no recent update, it is strange that there have been no reported sightings of Twiggy, this is a very popular area with lots of visitors. hopefully if she had been picked up she will eventually be scanned and her chip will be found.
It looks like the photo went on a while after the registration and email alerts were missed so I will bump the page to get this done. Please can anyone in the area help poster.
Emailed general info to owners. - 2013-08-26 09:19 Doglady

- I saw that one too pixies peeps but Dunroamin posted in reply to someone "All dogs with no owner are posted on the pages of and emailed to, Doglost. Ian" - so I imagine someone has checked it out. The found one Shiver seems to have a fair bit of white on the chest though.

- Thank you for the call. Unfortunately it is not her but does look similar. I have put two photos on the site. It is fine to use both mobile numbers. Thank you for thinking of us. Tim and Louise

- Phoned owners who are going away today. The link below is not their dog. They are trying to put up a picture or two now. They left a mobile number with me to call if anything comes up while they are away. Not sure if I should put it on this page but will do, and I will edit it off if asked: Friend's mobile is 07875 083540

- Sorry to see that TIGGY is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (55922)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
