LOUIE IS HOME!!! Firstly, thank you for everyones support. We were organising a trap in the place where he first disappeared when the phone rang and a voice told me they had found him near the Royal Oak Pub at Tockholes (roughly a mile away). I couldn't dare to dream it was true but we went to pick him up and he was SOOO pleased to see us. I will never be able to thank some people enough for coming from all over the country to help with the seach in light and dark in rain or shine and everyone else for their good wishes and thoughts. We'll see you again as we have made many new friends this week and I know there are some who REALLY want to meet the new Ray Mears... Louie!

Fantastic news, Louie is home!! Don't know the full details yet but I am hoping Rox_M will be on later to update us.

As usual, great team work from members of Team Beagle Lost and Found.....they go above and beyond for their breed.

Hi I'm Louie's mum. I've just found out he was spotted twice yesterday on the FOURTH hole of Darwen Golf Club. This hole runs almost along side his usual walk along the top path of Sunnyhurt Woods. We're going to create a trap where he went missing as he's just giving us the runaraound at the moment. As such we need volunteers to hack or flatten the Himalayan Bolsom and weeds in the area so we can create a pen. We also need the materials to make that pen - so many metres of mesh fencing and spikes/posts. Everyone has been so kind helping us with some stopping until the early hours of the morning to spot him and tempt him out with BBQ's. We are SO grateful and always will be.

Sighted again last night on the 4th fairway which runs alongside Sunnyhill Woods.

Owner could do with a few more searchers in Sunnyhill Woods so please call her mobile number above if you can help. There is a competition on the golf course today so people need to stay out of the way. Louie seems to be moving between the woods and the golf course.

Sat out til 1am with BBQ but started to rain, BBQ went out & no signs of Louie returning, left food at the last sighting point which also looks like his hiding place. Come on Louie home time now!

The searchers nearly got him about an hour ago. They are still out there, experienced beagle people so doing all the right things.

Just about to head back out there with new posters - anyone sees him to ignore him, sit down if possible and just ring the number on the poster, someone will get to them pretty soon as quite a few of us seachers and the owners are always around

Just picked up a post that a golfer has tried to catch a beagle on the 11th hole of the golf course. Anyone in the area and spots Louie please don't try to catch but put some food down and turn your back on her and sit down.

Forgot to say, Toby the tracker beagle is out there tomorrow, so anyone looking for Louie if they could keep out of his way and try not to cross his path that would be a big help to Toby. Thanks xx

Owners are doing everything they can - BBQ last night, out til midnight, left Louie's bed near to where he went missing, I've been back there again this evening, this morning there were lots of BeaglesUK people looking for him, but there is no sign, no one has seen him. Have recommended getting posters printed and put up asap.
