So this little one has definetly been reunited then?

Hi Lost Ruby, I've heard (via facebook so not confirmed!) that there are traps in this area. The police have removed most of them but there are some still remaining on private land. It maybe worth following this up to check if this info is correct or not.
Lost Stella
Thank you all so much for helping look for Ruby. She is still missing & it is Day 10...

Circulating on facebook and twitter. Just about to send a bulk email to over 3000 business women in Cornwall

Have shared to local rescue centres we know and also our extensive network of Basset and rescue groups. The word is spreading fast in case she turns up somewhere unexpectedly.
Keep up the faith and fingers crossed. Lets keep sharing and looking.

I have put up posters in Daymer Bay car park, the shop/cafe, along the headland pathway and at the house by where she was staying.

Thanks Owl, I've let owner know to read your posts.
Spoken to owner and given advice. She still has family down there so will be posting them posters to put up. Also advised to google all businesses and farms in area to let them know too. Fingers crossed she's found very soon

Extend the postering well inland and get posters to all the farms. It is quite posible that Ruby went in one hole and came out somewhere else which she didn't recognise and kept moving.

For checking holes, a hearing amplifier is useful. You can get them for around £25. There is one here http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=56465#.UhsXpVLuxmQ but I have one to hook over my ear. You stick the amplifier bit down the hole, or with an over ear one you put your ear to the hole.

Hi Mopsy, I used to go to Daymer bay for hols so know the area a bit. Have you got posters up at the golf course and down in Rock in case she headed the other way? And have you told the coastguard?
winniepig
Please please can anyone else help me with postering the area quickly so lots of people are made aware of her. PL27 Her owners were down on holiday and have had to go home now so it is important that we get something going for her quickly. Ruby's owners stayed in a house called beniguet which is in trebetherick. If u park in car park at daymer bay, there is a private road on rhs which leads up to the house. If u walk around the cliff from daymer in direction of polzeath, beniguets garden goes down to the cliffs & is before the turn to polzeath ie it faces out towards daymer. If ANYONE lives in this area and can go and have a good look around, print off some posters and get them up that would be great xLast edited: 2013-08-25 23:59:26 by winniepig

Any possibility of going when it's really quiet, probably night, call her name down the holes and listen for any whimpering.
Lost Stella
Sadly not. She is still missing. The area where she was lost has so many rabbit holes that you wouldn't know where to start & it also has v dense overgrowth....

Any news of this little one?

If you suspect she is down rabbit holes, it may be a good idea to go and hire a snake camera to go down them.Last edited: 2013-08-23 06:05:05
