FOUND!!! Scout gave himself up this afternoon by walking into the Gloucester Old Spot Pub and allowing people to read his tag and phone me. Fantastic news! He's at home looking thinner and very tired but very happy to be home. Thanks to everyone for their marvellous efforts.

Is Scout actually frightened of crates? My paddy and Bella are Springers and they can both escape out of the crates by undoing the catches but they are not scared of them just a Bit too clever for their own good. If Scout is nervous and not likely to go to anyone then the trap is the safest way of getting him. If hungry enough he is likely to still go in
Tiga
Is it wise to use a trap at this stage when Scout is frightened of crates and indeed broke out of one when he first went missing.
DogLostJenners - Area Volunteer, Gloucestershire
After an eventful day for the searchers and Scout yesterday he did settle back into his habit if visiting a farmhouse at 3am this morning. Whilst I was there yesterday evening he was spoked by a tractor returning from harvesting and made off across the village, Maggie the very helpful farmer set food up for him last night, he ignored them all apart from the cat food outside her back door, so this is where we'll set the trap tonight. I'm sure he's enjoying his little adventure, but now it is time to come home Scout, a lot of people are missing you !
Mollychops
Good luck with the search today

I hate being so far away I feel so useless, wishing you all lots of luck with todays walk. I'll post on the Welshie FB page that there is a meet at 4PM today just in case anyone else is local and can get there to help.
Carol

Had several confirmed sightings for Scout for yesterday at coombe hill, the nature reserve and walton hill. There was also a break in and food stolen from a tent at the dogshow at Hawbridge last night and Scout, although not seen, is the number 1 suspect!! The dog trap has been moved to the tent where the robbery took place in the hopes that he goes back for seconds. The owner has been in the coombe hill area all day and seen nothing so we have friends meeting up tomorrow at 4pm to try and walk all the footpaths in the area to see if we can find him. Jenners is an absolute star and has helped keep both myself and the owner sane and the locals have been fantastic looking for him and getting the word out.

Wishing you luck everyday that you meet at the same place at the same time, that's all it takes just the one opportunity. Our girl was out for 7 days, nervous Welshie too and I'm still amazed how resilient she was in this situation. Sounds like he has identified himself a safe spot which is fantastic - willing him into your arms xx
Mollychops
Thanks Jenners we can always count on you to do a great job trapping with your experience X

This is great news,if you are going to lay a trap for scout try to place something like baked liver coated with garlic in,hopefully this will bring him in,the poor boy must be really hungry - posters are up in my local area though, just in case anyone has spotted him,my fingers are crossed for you.x

I am in touch with Jo, and met the owner last night, we are going to see what happens today and hopefully set traps and cook smelly food later.

Are the owners in touch with Jenny with the traps do we know? How frustrating the pub staff didn't ring when he was hanging around during the day.

We went up to the Swan and missed him by about 10 minutes!!! He ran off down the lane alongside the Swan towards the nature reserve. We search for 2 hours but didnt see him. He has been hanging around all day according to staff at the pub so will go back tomorrow. Will also speak to staff at the garage opposite as i know the one lady that works there has dogs and will keep an eye open for him

I live near to hartpury/rudford,where I walk my dogs twice a day,I am keeping an eye out for scout and saying a prayer that he is soon found safe and well.i work for the police and will check right through the incidents when I return to work tomorrow as I've not been into work since he went missing,I will also put up loads of posters in local area.x

We have no sightings of Scout since about 2pm monday afternoon. Spent a couple of hours searching with his owner tonight, met another couple of farmers and have had several locals approach us and say they've been looking but havent seen him. Its such a rural area and is just a mass of fields leading from one to another we haven't a clue which way he's gone.
Tereza
Came in from the Tewkesbury direction, walked the dogs along the River and through fields adjacent to where the dog was lost then we drove out via Ashleworth but no joy unfortunately. Spoke to the lady at the Hawbridge pub who said she saw Scout at around 2am on Saturday night/Sunday morning I presume (she may have got her days wrong) but he ran away from her.
Tereza
About to take a couple of dogs to the area to try and help find him; I have sent a text to the person looking for him to let them know. Will update everyone concerned if we have any luck
jo123
Owner managed to get a flight home and is meeting me at 7pm this evening. Had no sightings but there has been loads going on in the area as its in the middle of the imminent badger cull that is about to start in Gloucestershire. Hopefully this is why he's staying out of sight. Just off back down there now but have no phone reception - the phone number on the posters has been left with a friend and will be manned 24/7 and she will come and find me should there be any news
Mollychops
Thanks Shereen
