Dear Gino,

You will be please to know we have a happy ending to our lost Dog Purdey
story. She is back at home safe and sound! She was found by a fellow
shooting man on Sunday evening. She was running frantically away from
cars near Wokingham. She had her tail between her legs and was obviously
scared out of her wits. We can only presume she had been picked up at our
house and dumped when they realised she had just been in pup but I guess
we will never quite know what events actually happened that night.

The man spotted her as working gun dog type and turned around and picked
her up. He wasn't able to get her microchip scanned on Monday morning due
to work commitments and after phoning the police to report it and after
speaking to several dog wardens he decided to take her to his yard with
his spaniel for the day where she would be safe, while he tracked us down.

We had a call from the police yesterday afternoon matching us both up as
the most likely owners and we picked her up late last night.

We are obviously delighted with the outcome and we also wanted to say a
big thanks for all of the support from you and your members that wrote to
us with support. Your website is fabulous and we will certainly continue
to promote it to friends and family.

Kindest regards

Lucy

Hi ANB im sure if someone has taken the trouble to call the local rescue kennels they will take the time to go to a vets for a scan. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Nat
This is the 2nd dog believed to be stolen in this area in the last couple of days. Could this be connected to BLUE the white shepherd that was stolen from a garden in Easthampstead?
ANB
Thank you again Clare, good idea. I know my postman well and he hasn't been yet today. Just printing off 30 posters to give him now!

On another not the local dog rescue kennels has had a call from someone that has found a black lab. Insanely they didn't take a number...can you believe it! I visited last night and said ours was missing and they couldn't even put two and two together. Lets hope that it is beautiful purdey and they can take her to a vets to get her scanned.
Clare
Hi ANB Maybe an idea to send a poster to the Royal Mail. Postmen are very good at spotting new dogs. I think the local area is covered by the Reading Depot. I will take one to my local vet who can circulate to all areas. Great she has a microchip. Fingers crossed your beautiful girl is back with you soon x
ANB
Thank you Clare for your kind offer. She went missing from our garden yesterday at 1pm. We have searched the area over and over and informed the neigbours, police and local dog warden. I am going to put some posters out in he local area today. As we assume she has been stolen i'm not sure another search will come to much but thank you for the kind offer anyway. She has never strayed before and is VERY out of character! She is microchipped and i have let them know too.
Gino

Clare
Hi i can help look today. Did she run off or get lost on a walk?
