- Would love to get my hands on the piece of trash responsible for this. Still whilst Honey is having fun at the bridge, you will burn in hell. Low life piece of trash.
- 2013-11-17 20:17 Unknown
- Presume the scum who abandoned him not found yet? has he had his funeral/cremation yet?
- 2013-10-29 08:28 duffs54
- Yes me too, I know Honey had the reward in place but it would be good to hear some news, someone must of known about her!
- 2013-10-22 21:04 Unknown
- Sadly because of all the focus on Jim (Justice for Jim) which I have donated to poor Honey seems to have been forgotten. Any news on this poor dog please/
- 2013-10-13 08:10 duffs54
- A few of us have been mentioning trying to get a connection, and I think there is a post on Jims page saying about joining the stories. So hopefully those that have the connections are on the case.

- GOOD IDEA NickyB.
- 2013-10-11 16:21 NickyB
- any chance doglost could get this horror story in national papers linked with justice for jim?
- 2013-10-09 09:00 Unknown
- I found it easy enough to donate to "Justice for Jim" but cant find a link to donate for Honey. Any advice. Thanks.
- 2013-10-08 17:48 duffs54
- janiejewel1649 Yes I'm miles away from Jim and Honey as well, but donation is the only thing I can do like you. Looked on RSPCA site and no mention of either dog that I can seeLast edited: 2013-10-08 17:50:15 by duffs54

- duffs54. I think a fund through Paypal/Generic is a good idea. There has been so much publicity about the "Justice for Jim" campaign it seems that Honey has gone off "The radar" I have donated to "Justice for Jim" to. I hope we can have the same publicity for Honey too. Both cases are despicable acts of cruelty; so I hope we dont FORGET Honey. I live miles away, so am unable to put posters up locally. Does anyone know of any developments concerning Honey? THANK YOU.

- This is totally heartbreaking and cruel beyond belief. I hope the owner is found and brought to justice. I'm with janeyjewel on the shark infested waters idea, with a bit of torture thrown in first for good measure. At least Honey knew kindness at the end and had a name to take to the Bridge with her.
RIP sweet girl, go find Jim and rest peacefully in God's care xx - 2013-10-07 07:32 Unknown
- Just checking to see if any news on the evil person who dumped poor Honey. Have fun with Jim sweet one, now out of pain, and suffering, and in God`s care.
- 2013-10-01 08:29 duffs54
- Poor sad Jim 57818 now with Honey at Rainbow Bridge another cruelty case, these people can't be allowed to get away with these horrors. Talk about a paypal fund to help towards a reward to find these people will be a great idea, can it be a generic fund do you think?
- 2013-09-24 21:15 Unknown
- No more news yet then? I wish the person/s who did this to Honey could be dropped in shark infested waters.

- The thought of what this dog went through has haunted me. I will add £50 to the reward. If everyone who has been moved to tears by the treatment of this innocent animal could add to the reward, even just a few pounds, it will all add up and hopefully a financial incentive will encourage someone to contact the RSPCA with information. Someone, somewhere must know who this dog belonged to.

- Thye did not contact the RSPCA because they knew questions would be asked about the tumour, as has been said it did not appear over night, and most likely charged with animal cruelty , like not taking to a vet for treatment, and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal. So this was an easy option for them. I hope the person (Scum) responsible never knows peace again. At least we know Honey is okay now, and has found her peace at ~"Rainbow Bridge"
- 2013-09-03 11:14 LindaT
- Yes, I can imagine how awful this must have been to see poor Honey in such an awful state...and that tumour didn`t appear overnight did it so this has been something that could have been treated if the evil b******s had handed her into a rescue before it got too late to help her, and then to do this, how much Honey must have suffered with that huge lump for so long, it makes me want to puke to be honest and I would swing for such evil scum. Nothing and no-one can hurt her now and Thank God she wasn`t left to drown and knew a kind loving hand at the very end. But it shouldn`t have come to that, makes me ashamed to be a human at times ((()))
- 2013-09-03 08:32 Carol
- LindaT and janiejewel1649 it was seeing her poor bleeding feet that made me cry where she tried to get out , how can people live with themselves after doing this , don't they ever think about her , even if they were caught they would probably say she was stolen from them , they didn't have to do that they could have had her put down by RSPCA xxxxx she surely was a HONEY xxxxxx
- 2013-09-03 07:53 LindaT
- I have tears here... poor baby. Carol you are on the right track but I hope it`s an open and deep-sided cess-pit and not the sea, that`s too good and clean for such evil b******s Rest in peace Honey, no more distress at Rainbow Bridge darling girl ((()))
- 2013-09-03 07:36 Unknown
- Carol. Couldn`t agree more

- This is hearbreaking to see this. I hope the low life scum who did this get their comeuppance. At least Honey has some tlc at the end, and knew someone was caring enough to help her, which is more than can be said for the owner. I really hope that someone recognizes this poor dog, so the owner can be brought to justice. Personally I would lock them up, and throw away the key. Perhaps some people who live in or near the area could put up posters to see if anyone knows the dog (I live miles away. RIP+ Honey, and have fun with the other "Rainbow babies" where no harm can befall you. God bless sweetheart. When the time comes I hope your owner rots in hell. A~~~Candle~~~burns for Honey. I really hope we get justice for you sweetheart (((((((HUGS)))))))

MIDDLEWICH GUARDIAN 7:50am Sunday 25th August 2013
RSPCA appeal after sick dog dumped in Middlewich canal
If you have any information relating to this incident, call Inspector Timmis immediately on 0300 123 8018.
The female English Bull terrier that was dumped in the canal last week.
THE RSPCA is appealing for information after a sick dog was dumped in a canal and left to drown in a callous act of animal cruelty.
On Friday August 9, the RSPCA received a report of an animal in trouble in the canal between Sandbach and Middlewich.
RSPCA inspector Emma Timmis was called to a lay-by which runs next to the canal after the dog, a female English Bull terrier, was spotted struggling to stay afloat.
Emma managed to drag the dog out but said that the dog was completely exhausted, cold and her claws were bleeding from her desperately trying to get out of the water to the safety of the bank.
Emma said: “This was desperately sad and this dog would not have survived in the water much longer.
“Sadly when I managed to pull her out of the water it was clear she was desperately ill and had a tumour the size of a football on her chest.
“I am suspicious that she was put in the water deliberately. Sadly experience tells me that the most likely reason would have been because she needed vet treatment and the owner didn’t want to pay.”
The English Bull terrier was quite elderly and had distinctive brown patches on her coat.
Emma added: “Drowning is a terrible way to die, and this poor dog was thoroughly exhausted as she desperately hung on to life.
“This is not the way to end an animal’s life, and it is even more sickening that it could be a as a result of saving money.”
Sadly, although the RSPCA managed to save the dog from drowning, she had to be put to sleep as the tumour was too large and she was suffering.
The RSPCA is keen to hear from anyone who has any information regarding this incident or who recognises the dog or saw any suspicious activity by the canal opposite the layby or Booth Lane. - 2013-09-02 19:24
