The chip was one manufactured by Pet Code and issued by Identichip for registration on the Anibase database. The batch was issued to a vet in Tiptree but they did sell a batch which may have included this chip so if one of the kennels purchased a batch of chips in 2008 from a vets then that would narrow it down.

Hi, I have had replies from both ladies from Linern and Carmelita kennels. Both wanting to help as much as they can. Asking what the chip number is so can be checked against their own records and also if there was a tattoo number? Apparently there were litters in 2008 but sired by another sable stud dog owned by Lynn of Linern kennels.

I have sent an email to the lady who owns Neck at Linern kennels and I have also emailed the owner of Carmelita kennels in Essex, who has had litters sired by Neck so hopefully they may know something that will help, whether she has come from a litter they have bred personally or know of any breeders in the area who have used Neck or that breed working line dogs/dark sables.

The vet is at Tiptree, Essex. I have started searching for breeders in the area but have been out all day today so not followed them up yet, I will start ringing tomorrow and will post kennel names of any I try so as not to duplicate and for people to list more to try if poss ?

there is a breeder in Suffolk, who breeds working line dogs and owns a stud dog called Neck von den Wolfen, a very dark sable, who has been used at stud quite a lot, and this girl could so easily be progeny of Neck! She could possibly know something about this girl. The affix is Linern and she is in Ipswich, Suffolk!

What area of Essex was the vet, it might narrow the search down for a breeder

How very frustrating - I will have a look and see if I can see any breeders around the Essex area breeding this type of GSD. J. x

Hi Shereen, the vet sold a batch of chips which included the one in this girl [ possibly to a breeder ? ] but they have lost the records and the chip company has the batch as still being registered to the vet practice. The implanter is supposed to send off the paperwork but in her case this wasn't done - very frustrating !
Shereen
Oh thought vets were still registering at this time on behalf of owners, but maybe this was on the borderline of owners having to registering all chip details for themselves?

The chip has been traced and was sold to a vet in Essex in 2008, these vets have been contacted them but they have no trace of it on their system...

Hi. I would say she is definately a German/ Czech import as my bitch is and she looks the spitting image of her. Not all readers read all chips.x. M.x

I am just wondering if this lovely girl has been imported from Germany or somewhere especially with the chip not being recognised. Just a thought. J. x

Her temperament is amazing, she has been beautifully brought up, someone must surely be missing her :/ I have secured her a rescue place should she not be claimed in the legal time scale, if things were such that I could keep her myself I would in a heartbeat but its just not possible, she really is lovely bless her.
